Dushashan's vicious ploy

"The war will be disastrous for the entire city. We as the citizens demand peace Maharaj!" Meghna firmly said as she stood before her husband without an ounce of emotion in her beautiful eyes.
Karn was still searching for those hidden feeling in her eyes but it seemed the old chirpy happy Meghna was long gone. It was replaced by a diplomatic lady strictly professional and never expressing herself.
"We too want peace bhabhisree...bhrata Yudhisthir has left for Panchal to request the king" Duryodhan said.
Meghna looked at Duryodhan nodding a  pleased manner.
"That was our appeal Maharaj...butbot seems it's already taken care of so it would be better if we depart!" Meghna said and turned ed around to leave.
"Meghna!" Karn suddenly called.
Meghna stopped in her tracks. The entire guest was filled with silences Karn cried "ekant" indicating everyone to leave the king amd queen alone.
As they noth stood alone Karn couldnt control his emotions as he embraced Meghna lovingly.
Meghna however didnt reciprocate.
"Forgive me Meghna...please Forgive me" he said as tears gished out if his eye lids.
"I have forgiven you long ago Maharaj. You need not apologise" Meghna said still sounding so cold.
"You are calling me maharaj" karn pointed.
"Because I am your subject. A subject must call her king  maharaj" Meghna added.
"You are my wife...my queen...the woman I love" Karn exclaimed.
"No Maharaj! I was your wife before you abandoned me alone in the woods and broke your marriage bow of ways staying by my side...I was your queen unless your subjects insulted me amd literally ousted me out of my own home amd I was your love before you crushed my heart and broke my soul into a million pieces. So Angraj Karn ots pretty evident I am just your disciple now!" Meghna said for the first time am emotion visible in her dead eyes. It was rage...it was frustration...it was anger.
Thus Meghna left the court with Arjun amd Draupadi.

Three weeks later
Meghna , Arjun and Draupadi were leading areally peaceful life when suddenly there was a knock in their hut. It was night time and thus they were not sure if they should open the door.
As Meghma slowly peeked put of the door she was shocked to see the visitor.
"Karn!" She shouted as she saw her husband's body filled with blood. He was somehow managing to stand as he looked at them helplessly.

"What do you mean Bhrata Karn is dead!' Duryodhan shouted as he reached Hastinapur.
"It means I have killed Angraj Karn amd now I am the new King of Hastinapur!" Dushashan said as he was  seated on the throne.
The pandavas looked at one another. They should have known. They shouldn't have had left Karn alone in the palace. Bit how did Dushadhan manage to kill Karn who was the greatest warrior of all time?!
"Now you are on my side Piramah. You are the servant to the throne so dont even think of helping your panduputras!" Dushashan shouted as he saw Mahamahim Bhism trying to withdraw his sword.
Bhism stopped. It was true that he was the servant to the throne. How could he go against the throne!
Two weeks earlier Karn had sent his brothers to different parts of the Aryavrat to accumulate their forces for the war. They wanted peace but then Gandharraj had denied their peace treaty and thus they were preparing themselves for a battle. Duryodhan had accompanied the pandavas.
Mahamahim Bhism had gone to Panchal to have a word with Drupad and tried to convince him to not fight against his own family. Drupad denied. Meanwhile Karn was completely alone in the palace. It didnt matter though...he was a great warrior. But mamashree Shakuni was kot someone who obeyed the rules. He attacked Katn at might when he was sleeping peacefully. Dushashan and Shakuni had bought all the guards who didntbehlp their Kong while the intruders tried to murder Karn. Karn was shocked when he sw he was completely alone. He could've killed Dushashan and Shakuni bit the gurmards protecting them were constantly injuring Karn. Thus Karn decided the best way to deal with this situation was to save his own life. He fled from the palace and started walking towards the jungle.

"Juesth bhrata...please open your eyes!" Arjun exclaimed with horror as he witnessed his brother's condition.
Meghna was too shocked to speak.
"Karn...Karn!" Meghna shouted as she saw her husband in such critical condition.
Karn was struggling to breathe.  Draupadi tried to console Meghna as they tried to revive Karna.
Meghna couldnt believe this was happening to her!
"Karn! Karn please open your eyes! I love you Karn! Karn..please!!!" Meghna shouted hysterically.
"Forgive me for saying those things to you ! I still love you! You are still my husband! Karn please open your eyes!" Meghna said as her eyes were filled with tears.
Draupadi amd Arjun were fearing the worst. Karn was not responding to the medical treatments.
It had been a complete day and Karn's condition was worsening as the day progressed.
Meghna was not ready to accept the reality.
Suddenly miraculously destiny helped Meghna for the first time. The pandavas who had left Hastinapur after learning about their brother's death came to visit Meghna. They were filled with joy as they found their brother alive. Nakul and Sahadev immediately tended to Karn and within two days Karn revived.
"Dushshan has crossed all his limits! We need to show him his position now!" Duryodhan shouted with anger.
"Finally the mahabharata is going to take place!" Krishna said to himself as he saw the Kaunteyas' condition.
