The tranquility of library was disturbed as the dark gray clouds rumbled and a cold breeze flipped the pages of the books sprawled over the desks of the library. Y/N looked out of the window as trees rustled with the wind.

"It's going to rain soon, huh?"

And a minute later, the pitter patter sound of the droplets hitting several surfaces entered her ears. Her mind diverted from the book in front of her as the varying percussion of the tiny globes of water brought a soothing and natural melody. She stared at the window as several droplets raced each other for reaching the base of window.

"Y/N-chan!"

She turned around to spot the brunette walking towards her desk.

"Oikawa-san.. What are you doing here?"

"I should be the one asking you," He spoke taking a seat in front of her.

"I asked first," She argued childishly.

"Ladies first. So, anwer my question," He argued back.

"If ladies first, then my question comes first." She stuck her tongue out.

"I am-"

"Shut up both of you or I'll kick you out." The stern voice of the librarian broke their argument. They mumbled a quick apology before focusing on the sheets and books in front of them.

Oikawa watched as Y/N's face contorted in confused expression as she scanned one of the sheets she had with her. She continued chewing her lower lip and tapped her pen against her chin.

"What happened Y/N-chan?"

She looked up at him and her eyes widened as she remembered something. Oikawa sweatdropped at the desperation in her eyes.

"Oikawa-san, help me with this math assignment."

Oikawa leaned forward to take a look at the sheet which had various trigonometric questions along with some graphs. He rotated the sheet to read the questions.

"Okay.. Just a minute."

He shuffled in his place as he started fishing our some pens. Her blue eyes watched as various pens of different colors sprawled over the table. Indicolite, rogue, canary yellow etc.

"Woah so pretty. The colors I mean." She mumbled loud enough for the brunette to hear.

"Well they have to match my prettiness." He smirked while running hand through his hair at which she wondered about his hair routine.

"Petty, Oikawa-san, Petty. Not pretty."

Oikawa's lips formed an upset pout at her comment and she laughed at his childishness.

"I won't help you now."

"Ahhh sorry! sorry! please help me or else I'll fail!" She apologized though she was stifling her laugh.

He made an 'hmph' sound before focusing on the questions.

"Here, so for this question, you have to solve these equations to get the coordinates for the graph like this."

She watched as his hands moved and the pen glided over the paper smoothly as he explained the method. The sound of scribbling could be heard in the quiet library as she copied the solutions.

"Thank you Oikawa-san! I am saved!" She grinned while holding her sheet as if it was something precious. Oikawa sweat dropped at her overreaction.

"Anyways, what were you doing here?," She asked as she stacked the sheets together and stapling them.

"Oh I just have to complete an article," He replied opening the notebook he had with him.

"Is there anything I can help with?," She asked in generosity since he helped her with her work.

"Just keep me company," He smiled. She blushed at his words but nodded eventually.

The sounds of papers flipping and low humming by him accomplanied the relaxing sound of the rain drops hitting the window pane. She leaned against the cold wall as he was occupied with his work.

Her gaze was more focused on the working lad and seldom on the scenery outside.

Her dark blue eyes watched as Oikawa diligently scribbled the words. During her staring, she noticed a lot of things about him. He would hum a tune as the pen inked loops and dashes on the paper. His lips would subconsciously form a pout as he was focused. His brown hair looked even more lustrous and fluffy at the moment tempting her to ruffle them.

"Oikawa there you are!" Iwaizumi's voice distracted her and both of them turned to the vice captain as he mde his way to their table.

"Iwa-chan!" Oikawa grinned at his friend and scooted sidewards to make space for him.

"Iwaizumi-san." Her voice caught Iwaizumi's attention who didn't noticed her.

"Oh L/N too." He sat down and slid the papers and pens which Oikawa had sprawled at the desk. He noticed the stapled sheets of maths assignment near her.

"Math huh?"

"Yes it is killing me literally." She answered in an irritated tone glancing at the sheets. Iwaizumi chuckled at her completely understanding her misery.

"Iwa-chan what are you doing here?" Oikawa asked from beside him.

"I came to find you. Just where do you always disappear to?" An irk mark appeared in Iwaizumi's forehead as he recalled the time when Oikawa disappeared after their class and he had to look around the whole school to find him.

Oikawa sheepishly chuckled, totally unbothered by his friend's irritation. "I came here to find a quiet place to work, you know how much chaotic our class is? And coincidentally found Y/N-chan!"

Iwaizumi nodded not believing a single word that was uttered out of Oikawa's mouth. He let out an exasperated sigh since he knew how much truth he was speaking.

"Yeah yeah. What a coincidence." He mumbled loud enough for the captain to hear. Apparently, while searching Oikawa, he went through the chats from their boys groupchat where Kindaichi mention Y/N's whereabouts. As for the chaotic class, it was a complete lie.

The bell for the next class rung. Y/N started packing her things while the boys were busy in their own conversation.

"Well time for me to leave. Are you both staying here?," She asked as she got ready to leave.

"Yeah I also have to complete the work, so I'll stay here with Oikawa," Iwaizumi answered not bothering to stop for Oikawa who was about to retaliate.

"Okay."
.
.
.

"You are so whipped," Iwaizumu spoke out when Y/N was out of sight.

"Whipped? What do you mean?," Oikawa asked innocently albeit of knowing his intentions.

"Don't act innocent. You know what I mean," Iwaizumi said in a stern tone. They walked to the library door.

A couple passed by, holding hands and fingers interwined together.

"I am not whipped Iwa-chan. And you know that some things never happen to us just because we want to," Oikawa whispered.

Iwaizumi watched as his friend walked ahead of him. He sighed before matching his pace with him.

"Jeez, what a pessimist you are."
