While everyone was warming up for their match with the team infamous for their blocking, Dateko, Oikawa's brown eyes were darting off around the bleachers hoping to find a certain ash blonde girl. He asked her to watch his match the other day and she even agreed albeit apathetically.

His lips fell into a dejected frown as he was met with no luck. A sigh escaped him, which caught attention of the manager. Y/N looked up at him in worry. Her lips were pressend into a thin line as her heart sank but she closed her eyes. She took a deep breath, to divert her mind from him. But, the world is cruel.

"Ne, Y/N-chan."

His voice didn't let her do so. She still turned to him. Hurt and an  emotion unknown to her were swirling in his brown eyes. Her brain was telling her to turn away, talk anyone else but in the end, her heart won.

"Hmm Oikawa-san?" Her voice was as soft as a feather. There was a tinge of affection in it. Had anyone else heard her, they could've pointed out the affection laced in her tone right away.

"If.. I had asked you to come and watch me play, would you have came?"

"Of course, I would have, I am the manager after all."

"No, not as a manager?" That caught her off guard. Should she answer what her heart says? Is it fair to do so? She sighed.

"I would've loved to."

Her answer was enough to make his day and to pump him up for the match. He doesn't care if Yui was there or not. He never did in fact. It was her all along.

"Go, go, let's go, let's go dateko!"

Dateko's catchy chant was as catchy as it was in the beginning of the match. Y/N could only wonder what they had in the breakfast, given how energetic they were.

Dateko's players noticed that the game was in the second set and their team was two points behind.

They looked out onto the court in time only to watch Tōru Oikawa set to Takahiro Hanamaki who successfully landed a feint shot over Takanobu Aone and Tarō Onagawa.

Dateko's new setter, first-year Kanji Koganegawa, positioned himself to set as Kenji Futakuchi, their captain. called for the ball. Koganegawa sets the ball incredibly high; impressing Y/N but she could see that Futakuchi, who is not good at sets that are too high, was terrified. He jumped to spike but ended up hitting the ball into the net, giving Aoba Johsai the point.

Koganegawa set the ball to Aone but it went too high and is caught by their coach on the bench; much to everyone's bewilderment. Y/N raised her brows in amusement.

Oikawa sent the receive to Hanamaki who in turn sets for the setter.

Futakuchi and Aone jumped to block and as Oikawa was aiming to spike in the opening to Aone's right, Koganegawa jumped in to assist in the block and was able to hit it back onto Aoba Johsai's side

This surprised everyone in the stadium. Koganegawa's momentum from running over caused him to bump into Aone who then knocked Futakuchi down.

In the new rotation,
Futakuchi was an ace who is great at blocking, Aone is the core of the iron wall and Koganegawa's height and build added to the walls' strength; making the new iron wall the strongest there was in the prefecture. Y/N found it cool and amazing.

Before the next set begins, she overheard Iwaizumi telling Oikawa to keep playing as he always does and let him worry about Koganegawa. She snickered at Oikawa's immediate reply to Iwaizumi's serious expression.

Watari received. Oikawa set to Iwaizumi. Koganegawa, Aone and Futakuchi positioned themselves for a triple block and jumped as Iwaizumi spiked right through the open space of Koganegawa's arms; thus winning the game for Aoba Johsai. As the Seijoh team celebrated their victory, Dateko's players were crestfallen especially their setter.

"L/N!" A familiar voice caught her attention. She glanced up at the bleachers to see him standing there. He was smiling as usual, completely hiding the fact that he saw her and the captain's interaction at the beginning.

That's right, she was reminded of the fact that Oikawa Tooru was her pipe dream while Kenshiro Ryu was her heartbreaking reality.
