Real Life Angel #10 : For her
Written for Martina
I made way from port
Tossed the anchor into the land
Manouvring swiftly from deck
I set foot upon the dirty sand
Lyrics on paper ready in hand
But my eyes had mocked me for I was lost
Stranded on a far away coast
Till I could hear the soft chiming of a bell
A sound I knew but all too well
It was but all a forlorn call
From the angel who wished to send
A welcome home to the poet
Who'd reached for her hand
I pulled myself away from the writing desk for a while
Trying make mind and body reconcile
As I've come upon the grandeure of travesty
For writing of her has started changing me
The world has come to look that much brighter
Making me crave penning down the next line
Not once but each and every time
Shut up heart! I'm trying to write in here!
