Real Life Angel #18 : I Must Confess
Written for Martina
I saw her the next day, she'd forgotten all about
The music and the singing she blended with the crowd
I stood lone passing count between fingers
Not knowing what to do
So I started writing again, writing without end
Ignoring the world solely focussing on paper and words
Covered by the dawning ignorance of the world
I could not free my mind of the mental image
Or the way she was like an addiction to me
And so without noticing she'd sat herself down besides me
Reading all I wrote
Eventually she spoke in a soft little tone
A tone of voice that neared the feelings of home
She'd read into my mind perfectly
Knew the words before I voiced them
I looked around and spoke under my breath
"I really, really like you"
She looked at me and gave an acknowledging smile
"Yeah, you do"
Her voice might have been the pendant of her flagship there
She gave no sign of deterring
Neither did she of hope
But for me it was fine
Cause just like before
I'd been honest once more
