Real Life Angel #16 : The Beauty Of Things Unseen

Written for Martina

For shame at last

The time of the final song had passed

Slowly the world grew whist

There was no climax

No moment of inherent or explicit passion

Seemingly a surprise to many in these modern days

Just two people on a bench in the park

Playing music straight from the heart

Caught in the so called "flow"

We sat there for days on end

Till both our voices dimned

She collapsed, but I took her hand

Held her up and kept watch

Brought her home

Lifted her into her dreams

And sullenly walked away

Only to fall asleep in the  middle of the street

Where  I dreamt of things

That were never to be

whispering softly

"Shut up heart this couldn't possibly be..."

It started with two poems for a friend

The greatest person I'd known in life

But immediately two became four

When I realized she was so much more

Four soon were ten

Now I'm writing

Not knowing where I'll end

Some say that true love means

Just wanting to be besides your loved one

Not even knowing how you'd go about romantic acts

When the kiss will be like the first kiss you've ever known

Chivalry isn't dead, it's just living silently in the background
