Chapter 5
The curtain was open so I was able to see that it's already morning... or afternoon?
How the hell did I get here?
The last time I was awake was... I was with Lucas in the car.
Is my mother here?
"How are you feeling?" I heard a voice. His voice. Lucas' voice.
I looked in the direction where the voice came from. My startled eyes met his.
He was sitting on my study chair— it's a leather office chair na halos nasa tabi na ng kama ko.
"Better." I bit my lower lip, then I continued speaking. "Why are you here?"
"Your mom wasn't able to stay long last night, she's catching a flight. And... your sister came too, but she left after checking up on you. She messaged you... Umm yeah, she told me to tell you when you're awake."
"You were murmuring in your sleep, and whenever I would try to wake you up you would just reach for my hand and hold it like that."
I sighed then I slowly let go of his hand, "Sorry, sorry for the inconvenience." I apologized, "Have you slept?" I asked when I already knew the answer.
"Of course," he answered.
I rolled my eyes, "Liar." I said as I got up on the bed.
I was confused when he looked away.
"Why aren't you looking at me?" I asked.
"Y-your... uhh... just look in the mirror." His stuttering made me more confused. So I did. There's a body near my bed kaya tumingin ako doon.
Puta. Bakit!? Mama, Ate!!
"Trust me, I didn't see anything."
