Brock Rumlow

Dr. Simon's last interview was with former Hydra commander Brock Rumlow. The one Bucky called papa. But from what he understood something happened and Bucky completely stopped mentioning him. From what Steve has told him, Bucky used to ask for Rumlow all the time and get upset when he had to leave. Now he just barely cared when he showed up. That was saying a lot when someone as young as Bucky rejects a family member, especially one that was once in his top three favorite people.

"You must be Bucky's therapist?" Rumlow asked coming in.

"I am. Nice to meet you Mr. Rumlow."

"Just Rumlow. Let's get started."

"Very well. Um, any relationship with James?"

"No."

"Okay, how about Winter?"

"I freed him from Hydra."

"How did you do that?"

"I found him under a bridge, bloody and bruised from his fight with Steve. I got him cleaned up and took care of him."

"Did he face you as Winter or Bucky?"

"Bucky. But when I asked for Winter, he came out."

"Tell me about your relationship with Winter."

"The guard dog."

That didn't sit well with him. "Please do not refer Winter as a guard dog."

"Well he is. There's nothing human about him. I know you're trying to get some humanity out of him but all he knows is how to fight."

"Rumlow."

"Think of it like this. He's like a military dog whose only seen and known war for all its life. Then suddenly you throw that dog into a dog park and it's not going to know what to do, it's not going to know to play or act around other dogs. Winter doesn't know how to act around other people. You said he's severely socially awkward so yeah he's a military dog that's been forced into society and doesn't know what to do."

"You don't think he's made any progress?"

"No, not really. He's docile, I'll give him that." Dr. Simon sighed deeply. He really didn't appreciate how he was talking about Winter. Winter wasn't a dog.

"Okay, now Bucky."

"I love the kid, I really do. But I don't think he's feeling the same way anymore."

"What happened?"

"I left around Thanksgiving for a mission that Fury asked me to go on and I couldn't make any type of communication. When I came back, he was weary of me. He wouldn't let me hold him or really get close to him. So that lead me to believe someone told him that I hated him. I blame Steve."

"Did you talk to Bucky about it?"

"I couldn't. Steve and Natasha were telling me to shut up and kept me away from him. So this is probably why he doesn't want to be around me. It's foolish that I've saved him and it took me being gone for almost two months for him to suddenly decided I wasn't his favorite anymore. Kind of selfish to be honest."

"Please don't call a four year old selfish."

"He is, but I love him and I want him back."

"Excuse me?"

"I want my boy back. All of this isn't doing anything for him, for either of them." Rumlow got up which surprised Dr. Simon. "If you want to be real, doctor, James is dead and gone. Winter is and forever will be a weapon and Bucky is a toy."

"Excuse me?"

"I'm taking him back." Rumlow left, leaving Dr. Simon in shock. He immediately called Steve, no answer. He sent a text for him to call him immediately.

Rumlow was now a flight risk. Probably more so than Steve right now. Steve, Loki and now Rumlow were considered a flight risk. But in the little ten minutes he had with Rumlow, he could tell something substantial was about to happen.

If what he thinks will happen, then Bucky's life was truly in serious danger.

Author's Note: Short, sweet and twisted. No post this Friday, I'm bit tired. I have one more filler piece then we will start getting into the nitty gritty.
