Steve knew this day was coming. A mission, but it wasn't a real mission. More of a personal mission. But in order for this to work, Bucky couldn't be near him. So today he was going to spend the day with Sam.

Bucky wasn't overly happy about it, but he wasn't upset. He was in a sensory mood today. He was either looking for it or avoiding it. So far he's been seeking; humming, rocking and hugging Steve or Harley for pressure.

"You ready to go?" Steve asked. Bucky hummed then flapped his hands. He got up and followed Steve to the truck. The dogs jumped in the truck, Steve got Bucky in his seat and they left.

When they arrived to the facility, they went to the main floor. Sam was here but he wasn't expecting the Wakanda family to be here.

"Hello wolf." Shuri greeted him. Bucky slightly waved to her then got Steve's hand and lead him to the couch.

"Is it okay that they join us?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, he is in a weird sensory mood and he hasn't said a word all day. So watch his hands." Steve explained.

"Right." Sam nodded.

"Rogers." Nat said from the hallway. Steve took the hint.

"Behave for them. I know your world feels a little funny today but try not to give them a hard time." Steve said. Bucky hummed and got his hand. Steve kissed his head then got up. Bucky's humming got louder as he walked away. "Please be careful with him. He's more prone to a sensory overload now."

"Steve, he's not glass and this is not my first time watching him. We'll be fine." Sam said. Steve nodded and followed Nat into the conference room. "Alright, I don't want to keep him cooped up all day. There is a little beach not far from here so we can go exploring. Is that okay, Bucky?" Bucky hummed and flapped his hands.

"I have not seen him like this." Shuri said.

"I think his brain is more scrambled than it usually is. So as long as we keep things cool and go by his moods, we'll be okay and avoid an overload." They nodded. Sam offered his hand to Bucky, he stared at him then took his hand. They went to the elevator, going down to the garage.

"I'm sure Tony won't mind if we take a car, will he?" Shuri asked.

"No, he encourages it." Sam said. He got the keys to a small truck. He got Bucky and the dogs in. Okoye sat next to him, Shuri sat behind him and T'Challa sat in the front passenger seat. "Alright, to the beach we go." Sam started the truck and they left.

As they drove, they realized a few things about Bucky. One, he may need to stay in his seatbelt harness for the rest of his life. He constantly took off the seatbelt or he got out of the upper body strap. Okoye had to put her hand over the seat lock to stop him. Two, Bucky opens the door whenever they stop. Somehow he figured out that if he pulled on the door twice it can open. The windows weren't a problem, Bucky lost interest within minutes. It was just him opening the door. Thirdly, Bucky hated traffic. Slow moving traffic upset him. Fourthly, Sam noticed that Bucky had a staring problem. Any car that had windows down, he would stare until he got someone's attention.

"We're here." Sam said, parking the truck. The beach was right next to the Hudson. Not many people were here but that didn't mean Bucky wasn't going to do his best to avoid them. "You want to go to the water or-" before Sam finished his sentence, Bucky sat down and touched the sand. He kicked off his shoes and sat down. "Or do sensory stuff." Bucky grazed the sand with his hands, he grabbed some letting it slide through his hands.

"We are going to go mingle, we'll meet back up here." T'Challa said. Sam nodded. The Wakanda family left. Sam sat next to Bucky while Harley and Chase played around.
