Steve realized a few things as he sat on his patio, watching the sun rise over the trees. He realized that he was becoming restless and unpredictable. It wasn't like him to start threatening people. Now more than ever, he's realized that Sam and Natasha have become more concerned with him.

Not that he didn't appreciate it but that meant they knew something was off about him.

He needed a break. He needed to be away from everything and everyone for a few days.

He went upstairs and packed a bag of clothes. He opened Bucky's door, he was still asleep. Steve went downstairs and packed food for them, dog food, the dog bed and bowls. He put them in the truck and went upstairs to Bucky's room. He packed a few clothes and got a few of his main sensory toys.

"Daddy?" Bucky whined, rubbing his eyes.

"Hey, I didn't mean to wake you up just yet." Bucky yawned then looked at the suitcase.

"Going?"

"We're going on a trip, remember?" Steve asked. Bucky squinted at him.

"Mommy going?"

"No, it's just us and the dogs." Bucky tilted his head at him. "I'll go put your stuff in the truck then I'll make breakfast. You can go sit downstairs." Bucky got up out of bed, they went downstairs Bucky laid on his rocking chair while Steve put Bucky's suitcase in the truck. He went to the kitchen and started making waffles. "Bucky come eat." Bucky came into the kitchen, he sat at the table and began eating. Steve has been eating better since the interrogation part was over. But he still technically wasn't eating enough for a super soldier.

"Daddy eat." Steve was about to say something when he remembered Bucky had extra attitude waking up. He got a few waffles and ate with him despite the knot in his stomach.

After they ate, Steve made sure they had everything. Medicine and all other essentials were in bags. "Let's hit the road." They got in the truck and drove off to the airport.

When they arrived to the airport, Steve pulled to the private jet area. Bucky somewhat recognized this place. Some good memories, some bad.

Steve got him and the dogs out. He made Bucky carry his book bag and his suitcase.

"Plane?"

"Yeah, we're getting on a plane." Bucky whined then hummed. Steve tied Harley's lead to Bucky's chest strap. Chase was probably going to be a problem along with Bucky. He hasn't been on a jet probably ever and he didn't have anything to calm him.

"Mr. Rogers." A male flight attendant said. He got their bags. Steve nodded to him then got on the jet. He got Bucky in his seat, but as soon as he got Bucky strapped in he started to whine.

"You're okay." Steve put Chase next to his seat then sat down. Chase was panting but wasn't panicking. "Do you want a snack, Bucky?" Bucky shook his head but signed music. "Tablet or keyboard?"

"Keyboard." Steve got his keyboard from his bag. Bucky played on his little keyboard. That little keyboard has saved Steve from Bucky's violent tantrums and a few meltdowns. Dr. Simon has told them that a keyboard could be used as communication for emotions. High keys meant happy, low keys meant upset. The last deep key meant near meltdown. Right now he was playing the middle keys.

"We'll be there in a few hours." Bucky whined and began rocking. As the jet began taxiing, Steve realized that he probably should tell someone he left but he was not in the mood to be fighting anyone over having private time.

Once they started really moving, Bucky's humming became deeper but more of a curiosity hum. He wasn't experiencing severe anxiety to the point of needing medication. When they got in the air, Bucky freaked out a bit. He figured out how to get out of the seatbelt and walk around. Steve had to grab him and sit him in the seat to him. He tried to give Harley the benefit of having her own space next to Bucky but Bucky hated the ascending and descending part of flying. Steve tried to settle him down with his headphones but Bucky was not settling down until the plane stopped climbing.
