Week 1

Steve sighed deeply as he sat outside of Bucky's room. Sleep was not his best friend this week, not with everything going on. Everything was prepared and ready for Bucky's trial but Steve knew no one was mentally ready for it. But poor Bucky, he didn't even know what was going on. He was stressed because everyone was stressed. Now, he'll know.

"Captain, Ms. Romanoff and Mr. Wilson has arrived." Friday said. Steve sighed, he went downstairs and opened the door. Nat was in a black pants suit and Sam was in a suit as well.

"Still asleep?" Nat asked. Steve nodded. "Wake him up, we have to be there before eight." Steve sighed and went back upstairs. He opened the door, Bucky was on the floor, curled up in his blankets and Harley was laying on his legs. Steve crouched next to him and kissed his head. Bucky whined then woke up.

"Hi." Steve smiled.

"Hi." Bucky yawned. He rubbed his eyes and noticed Steve wearing a suit. "Going?"

"We are going somewhere. Come on." Steve helped him up. He got Bucky in a shower then in a suit. Before they went downstairs, Steve hugged Bucky tightly. Bucky whined a bit. "I love you so much, Bucky."

"Love daddy." Steve squeezed his hands then they went downstairs. Bucky spotted Sam and Nat. He hugged them then tried to pull them to the couch.

"I'm sorry, kid, we can't." Sam said. Bucky tilted his head.

"What are you doing with Chase?" Nat asked.

"Happy said he'll come by and watch him." Steve said. Bucky had now moved to pulling on him. Steve wanted to sit down and cuddle him but he couldn't. He picked Bucky up then they went to the car. Bucky was definitely starting to get that weird feeling again. He started whining as soon as he realized Chase wasn't coming with them. Once Steve got him in the car, the rocking and nervous whining began.

"He'll be okay." Nat said. Steve wasn't sure if she was referring to how Bucky was now because Bucky certainly wasn't okay now.

The drive to Washington was certainly not the best. Bucky had a mini seizure which resulted in a small tantrum mainly because he was confused a bit. They pulled into the parking lot of the Supreme Court but realized there were a ton of news media.

"Let me call Stark, if we get out now they'll set him off." Nat said. She pulled out her phone while Sam drove around. "Stark, where are you?"

"You must be here. Pull up to the back of the building where it says load drop off." Sam pulled around the back of the building. They got out of the car and went inside. Bucky stopped walking completely and sat down and began rocking.

"I thought you said this wouldn't be made public." Sam said.

"That doesn't mean someone didn't leak information. I'm sure that's what happened and now the public knows and there's polls about whether or not he should live. It's not pretty, just stay off social media." Tony said. Bucky began whining and hitting his legs, Harley went under his arms to stop him from hitting.

"If he has a meltdown, I don't know what to do." Steve said.

"They'll have to postpone it." Nat said. Steve knew that probably wouldn't happen, at the most they'll see it as Bucky proving he's unstable. "We need to head up." Bucky definitely wasn't moving. Steve helped Bucky stand up, he whined and flapped his arms. They walked up the stairs into a large room. There were a few men dressed in black and surprisingly a few of the armed forces, like Bucky wasn't already terrified enough. Besides the armed guards, there were people in the witness stand. Judging by the looks on their faces, these were people who wanted him dead.
