Here's the final part, I know I made some people anxious for this part and I am proud and sorry for that. I should warn you. Things get serious and twisted. So here's your tissues. And I'll see you on the other side. Yell at me in the comments. I don't mind.

Week 3

Numb was not even a word Steve would use to describe himself right now. Ever since he saw the footage of Bucky rocking violently against steel rods and his nose bleeding, things have been passing him by. He couldn't hear what anyone was saying unless they spoke about Bucky. The past few days has been miserable for Harley as well, Bucky had always been right next to her or close to her. Every morning, she woke up looking for him. Walking around the facility to find some scent of her best friend. At one point, she barked endlessly and that was the day Steve also had another break down to the point he had passed out. A super soldier heart could only take so much grief before it suffered from heartbreak.

Today was, hopefully was, the final sentencing. If everything went well, Bucky would be innocent, he would come home and Steve would spoil him for the next year. Until then, Steve sat in his room watching the world pass by.

"Hey," Sam said, standing in the doorway. "We're about to go."

"What's going to happen if he doesn't come home?"

"He is. He's going to walk out of there a free man, we're going to get McDonald's like I promised him then we'll be fine." Sam put his hand on Steve shoulder. "We're getting him back." Steve nodded. Steve cleaned himself up then got dressed. He got in the car and went to court.

The Avengers sat in the courtroom. Steve was starting at the door that Bucky was dragged through.

"Okay, I have copies of the plea bargain. But hopefully with the footage and further details I've found, Bucky can walk out of here and we can get you full custody of him, Mr. Rogers." Kelsey said. Steve's eyes never left the door. The officials came in the room, then judges came in. But Bucky wasn't here.

"All rise, the honorable members of court are now presiding." Everyone stood up then the door opened. Steve nearly collapsed. They had Bucky tied down in a wheelchair. He had lost all the color in his face, his eyes looked lifeless. Not Winter lifeless, like Bucky's will to live had just left from his body. His hair was matted and he had lost weight. The worst part was when Steve saw the muzzle on his face. Judging by scratches on his face, someone had put up a fight to get it on or off.

"What the hell did you do to him?" Steve demand.

"Order." Make judge one ordered.

"Get that off of him!" Steve yelled.

"Order now." He said again, Steve wasn't waiting. He went over the bench and tore the muzzle off of his face. Bucky's nose, mouth and chin was covered in dried blood.

"What happened to him?" Female judge two asked.

"He was being difficult to get out of the cell." A guard said.

"You couldn't have gotten him out no more than ten minutes ago, that much blood does not dry up that quickly." Bruce stood up.

"Your honor, can we get him out of the wheelchair? I would like to see his condition." Kelsey asked.

"There's no need." Dr. Clark said, rather quickly.

"Proceed." Female judge two said. Steve untied the straps from the wheelchair then undid the straight jacket. Bucky's arm was littered with bruises. Someone at least had been nice enough to change him out of his clothes but when Steve pulled up his shirt, he turned away. "What is it?"
