"Isang order nga po ng leche flan and Red Velvet frappe." I said while flashing my blinding grin as his picture of him flashed on my mind.
"...sir...uh sir..." the lady at the cashier called. I shook my head before responding. "Huh? Ah yes?"
"Is that all?" she replied.
"Uh, yes. How much?"
"That'll be Php1,200 po."
After I gave my payment, she handed me my order. My smile stretched wider while looking at the gift to him. After a few minutes, I then exited the café to find and surprise him.
After an hour of driving, I finally reached Morris' campus. I parked my car and then went out. As I closed my car door, my smile slowly fade as I saw Morris and Ace laughing while Ace carries Morris' bag. A thought began to form in my head but I shrugged it off as I know Morris won't do such things. I let out a short sigh before forcing a smile and then approach the two.
"Oh hey, John." Ace greeted. I only replied with a nod then focus my attention on Morris who is smiling widely.
I, once again, shot Ace a slightly irritated glance before forcing myself to smile and shrug the endless flow of negative questions and scenes. "How are you?" I asked before retrieving his bag from Ace. Ace's and my hand touched each other and I was taken back at the coldness of his hand. I glanced at him only catching a dark aura that is somewhat making the atmosphere uneasy, especially for me.
"So uh,..." I cleared my throat and face Morris. "...how's your day?" I asked. Morris then held my hands before replying. "Fine...I guess." He replied. After a few minutes of slight flirting, we bid our farewell to Ace and went on our way out for dinner.
After a few more minutes of driving and talking, we arrived at a small, Italian restaurant. We entered the facility, sat, and ordered our meal. Before our orders arrive, I excuse myself and went to the comfort room. I stared at myself through the mirror then I noticed a dark figure forming at the very corner of the room. I shrugged it off and washed my face.
Once I returned to where Morris is, I noticed that he is smiling and giggling while looking at his phone. The first thought that formed is that it is just a meme that he finds funny so I keep my cool and continue to stare at him. But as soon as I kept myself calm, Morris then shows me a meme that Ace "suggested". I forced a smile before slamming, not that hard, my back towards the chair. I knew Morris saw my gesture and so he put his phone down and look at me.
"Anything wrong?" He asked. I remained silent, and so he tried to ask again but was stopped by the waiter that brought us our meal.
Surprisingly, the whole time we are eating was in complete silence. I kept on glancing at him and I felt that he did the same. I don't understand why I am that jealous of my best friend but the bottom line is, I don't like this feeling, and I don't like seeing him with someone else other than his family and close friends.
After we ate our dinner, we went to my car and I drove him home. After taking some time to process my emotion, I decided to talk to him. So once we arrived, I went out of my car and opened the door for him. Once he was out, I caged him in a tight and reassuring hug.
He slowly placed his hand on my back and began patting it. "Hey,..." He began. "...you can talk to me. What's wrong?" He continued. I, then, let my tears run down and just minutes later, I began sobbing. He simply pats my back and tried to comfort me. After a while, I broke off our hug and wiped my tears. "What's bothering you?" He asked while helping me wipe my tears.
I inhale and catch my breath before facing him. "It's just that..." I began but then my tears began falling as I think of the picture they are together. "...I...I know I shouldn't but..." I stopped, trying to calm my nerves down. "...I...please don't go away. Don't leave me, Morris. Please." I continued as I manage to speak through the sobs, sniffs, and voice cracking.
