"San ba kasi tayo pupunta?" Makulit na tanong ko kay John habang kinakalabit siya. Mula noong umalis kami ng bahay ay hindi niya sinabi sa akin kung saan kami pupunta. Pati ang biglaang pag-alis ni Sam hindi niya din sinabi.

"Ssshh malalaman mo din," Said John before flashing his gorgeous and reassuring smile then tapping my hand. I frowned at him before slamming my body to the chair and gazing outside. I felt a pair of eyes were watching me followed by a hand stroking my head.

"Don't be mad na, it'll not be a surprise if I tell you." He said. I simply nodded while continuously gazing at the view of the road we're passing. I heard him sigh followed by his hand going down to my hand then squeezing it gently. We were in that position when my eyes became heavy maybe because of the tiredness I felt due to yesterday's unexplainable scenario. And with a split second, my eyes closed and I doze asleep.

After a few hours of driving, I felt a slight shake and tap on my face and shoulder that woke me up. I closed one of my eyes letting it adjust to the sudden change of light before following it with a rub. I scan the location he had taken me. My eyes met the perfect blue ocean and white sand beach with a cool breeze blowing. I slowly got out of the car, shut my eyes close, and spread my arms wide. The feeling of cool wind blowing is just a great feeling. Once I am satisfied, I slowly lowered my arms and open my eyes with a smile on my face. I turn to my side seeing John smiling and staring at me while his hands are tucked in his jeans pockets. I reach for him and hugged him tightly.

"I knew you would like it." He whispered to my ear. I felt chills run through my spine and my stomach filled with butterflies. I break the hug and pecked his soft lips. After the quick peck, I stared at his hypnotizing eyes with a smile still plastered on both our faces. I turn my sight back to the ocean followed by a hand intertwining mine. I looked at John which he also did before he pulled me to the beach.

We silently walked across the shore while holding each other's hands tightly. A few minutes later, I heard him sigh. I glanced at him catching his small frown. I gently shook and squeezed his hand that successfully caught his attention. He blinked a few times before looking at me followed by a forced small smile. "You can talk to me." Said I. His face slowly flashed a confused look. I sincerely smiled at him. He's still confused at my actions that forced him to ask. "I saw you frowning." I said then turned to face the beautiful view of the other islands. "Ahh, wala yun. Naalala ko lang si mama." He said. Even though he is not speaking, his face screams thousands of words. And with that, I simply stared at him and admire the peaceful ambiance.

As we continue our simple and sweet walk, John and I were surrounded by a deafening silence but when we reached a rock at the end of the shore. He untwines our fingers and steps in front of me. He took a small clothe out of his pocket before wrapping them around my head and covering my eyes. He took my hand and slowly guided me down the path. "Slowly," he said.

In the middle of the walk, I accidentally stepped on something slippery that causes my balance to shake. Luckily, John tightly held my hand and prevent me from falling to the ground. Once I had regained my balance, we continued our small journey.

"Andito na tayo." said he after a while. He let go of my hand and told me to stay where I am. I felt a soft wind brush beside me followed by the loosening clothe covering my eyes.  He slowly unties the blindfold he put on me earlier.

As he removes the blindfold, it took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the sudden change of light. Once my vision has cleared, I was amazed at the eye-catching design of the place. There's a table full of flowers, a musician playing some sweet song with his violin, lanterns spread across the place—it is indeed romantic.
