Saved by Two Chapter Eight:

"No May i dont think thats a good idea. She freaked out yesterday and hasn't been down today."

May sighs heavily and says "Dallas. She needs to see other people besides you all of the time. The kids could help her alot. She needs to get out and have fun. Women have motherly instinct so she'll like it."

"No May. Your not coming over. She is going at her own pace i just think God shes getting somewhere." I have been praying that he will help her and he has she has gone a long way since she has been here.

"Well your going to be upset then." she states and the knocks on the door.

Slamming the phone on the receiver i stomp to the door irritated. "Leave. She doesnt need this right now."

May has her eyebrows raised as she looks at me. "Thanks for inviting us in." she says stepping around me wth her kids close behind. "Where is she?"

I turn to her as she looks around the living room. "In her room now you can leave."

May turns and starts making her way up the stairs. "May!" i say in warning and she just raises her hand at me brushing me off.

I stand at the bottom of the steps and watch as May knocks on her door. "Avlon it's me May." The door doesnt open and she doesnt get a reply so she walks in. I sigh and run my fingers through my hair. Avlon doesnt talk to anyone else but me. No one has heard her voice but me.

May is a wman but that doesnt mean Avlon trusts her any more than she does men.

"Is momma gettin your girlfriend?" a sweet little voice says and i look down to see Savannah.

"She's not my girlfriend." i say with an eye roll. Ma must have told them she was my girlfriend because where else would they get that from. "She is a guest here and yes your momma is going to get her."

"Daddy said she was your girlfriend. Said that you like her this big." she says and stretches her little arms out as long as they will go.

"Did he now?" i ask with a raised eyebrow and she just nods her little head with a smile. "Daddy shouldn be telling you things like that."

"Things like what?" May says and i turn to see her coming down the stairs with Avlon following far behind. She has on my shirt and sweats again and i wonder why she doesnt use the clothes i bought her.

"Oh ya know grown folks business."

May giggles and has a big smile on her face. "Savannah wanted to know so he told her. Daddy's little princess." she explains and shrugs her shoulders like its no big deal.

Looking up at Avlon i give her a small smile "Hey Angle." She cocks her head confused like she always doesn when i call her Angle. She opens her mouth to get ready and say something to me nd then she looks around and notices the other people in the room so she just nods and gives me a small smile telling me she herd me. "Hungry?" i ask because it is just now time to eat breakfast and May ahs already decided to grace us with her presence.

Avlon gives me a nod but Savannah pushes me out of the way. She looks up at Avlon in a daze and i smile because when i first saw his beauty i was the same way. "Your girlfriends real perty uncle Dallas."

Avlon's face changes from confused to shock to i dont know. I have never seen te emotion on her face before. "Savannah let's go see the cows. Yah?" May asks the little girl and she shakes her head stubbornly. "Yes, Avlon has to eat. If she doesnt she wont be able to play." That gets her going.

May takes little Mikey and keeps Ed in his seat on the living room floor. "Ready to eat?" i ask and walk into the kitchen. "What do you want?"

Avlon walks over to the fridge and gets coco puffs off of the top of the fridge. I chuckle at her as she grabs a bowl and the milk out of the fridge. She had those for lunch and dinner yesterday so all day we had cereal for our meals.
