Walking down stairs i smile when i spot Avlon sleeping soundly on the couch still. She's bawled up into herself but theirs a small smile on her face.

I go into the kitchen to start breakfast. Since i learned thats she only had bread when she was abused i cook her some Ham nd cheese hash browns with eggs and sausage.

When its almost ready i hear the front door close and then Wayne shout my name. I cringe because Avlon is on the couch and she starts to scream.

Running in the living room i see Avlon on the floor covering her face with her hands. Wayne is standing in the doorway to the living room shocked not knowing what to do.

Cautiously i walk toward Avlon and crouch down infront of her she flinches feeling my presence. "Angel it's me Dallas." she looks up at me and brings herself closer to me clinching onto my shirt tightly. My eyes widen and i sit there in shock for a second before slowly i bring my hand and rub her back. "It's okay Angle. Wayne is a good man. He wont hurt you I forgot to tell him not to come over this morning. I'm so sorry."

"I'm sorry for frightening you Miss it wasn't my intent." Wayne says but his voice makes her flinch. His voice is really deep it could rattle the windows.

"Do you want him to leave?" i ask softly and she looks up at me and into my eyes. She brings herself closer to my ear and asks if i'm sure. I give her a confused look and whisper back. "I'm sure Angel he's a good man."

She nods and i stand with her she lets me go only to grip onto the back of my shirt shielding half of her body behind mine. I look back at her and shes peaking around me watching Wayne closely. "Wayne this is Avlon my Angel sent from God. Avlon this is Wayne hes a good friend and he milks the cows on the ranch." i explain to her wanting her to know that he can be rusted.

"Howd'y ma'am." Wayne says and she flinches holding onto me tightly. "I'm sorry i scared you. I wouldnt have came in if i knew you were down here."

Avlon taps on my shoulder and i look back at her still in shock that shes touching me and this close to me. "Tell him hi." she whispers quietly when i bend down.

"She says hi." I report back to Wayne. He chuckles and tips his hat at her.

"I came to talk about Girl. She's not milking and she doesnt look so good."

"Oh i say with a frown because Girl has been looking a little low and her milk gets less and less throught the last couple of weeks. "I'll go and check her out." i go to move but look back at the girl pressed to my back. "Do you want to go see the cows?" she shakes her head no and i say okay. I wit a few minutes to see if she'll let go but she wont. When i look at her shes still looking at Wayne.

After it registers i look to him. "Wayne could you go outside i'll be there shortly." Wayne looks at her and tips his hat before leaving the house.

Once the door closes Avlon jumps away from me with a quiet apology and runs up the stairs. I sigh because this is probably another set back.

Slipping my boots on i go out the door to be met with Waynes apology. "I'm so sorry i didnt know she would be up yet or thats he started coming downstairs again."

"It's alright Wayne. She touched me so that has to be something." I say looking up from the ground to look at him.

He chuckles patting my back. "I guess thats something but im still sorry. What if she doesnt talk to you again?" he asks worriedly.

"Then ill just have to talk to her. She touched me man so God is moving inside of her. She wouldnt even get withing two feet of me before today."

"That's awesome have you talked to her about God?" I shake my head and he asks "Why not?"

"Before last night she didnt even know what television or movies were. Before she came here she hadn't tasted anything but bread. Do you think she knows who God is?" i ask giving him a look.

He nods in agreement and doesn say anything until we get to the barn. "You should say something."
