Charter 3

Saved by Two Chapter 3:

Getting up i throw on some sweats and go down to make some breakfast. Angel is probably hungry and i need to make her some food.

I make eggs, bacon, grits and toast and set it on a plate. The i fill a glass of Orange juice up and put them all on a tray.

Slowly i walk up the stairs and tap on the door trying not to frighten her. I don't hear anything so i knock one more time and wait a few minutes before i open the door.

My eyes land on the bed but shes not there. Frantically i look around the room for her and spot her in a corner. She has her arms wrapped around her legs and her face tucked into her knees. I can see her eyes and their full of fright. Their wide and green just staring at me while i stand in the doorway.

"Hey Angel." i start off softly making her eyes widen more than they already were. After i scold myself i show her the tray. Her eyes go down to the tray and then look back at me.  "I made you some breakfast. Sorry i don't know what you like so i just made what i knew how." i explain with a slight blush. She doesn't do anything but sit there watching me. "Did you sleep?"

She looks around the room and then shakes her head looking down at the ground. "You don't need to be afraid here. I'm not going to hurt you and im not going to let anyone else hurt you."

When she looks up at me i say "I'm going to set your breakfast on the bed. If you want to you can come and have breakfast with me." She shakes her head so i set the breakfast on the bed and leave shutting the door silently.

The phone rings when i hit the bottom step. I rush to get it and ask "Hello?"

"How is she?" May asks without a greeting. I roll my eyes at her and chuckle.

"She didn't sleep all night. I went to give her breakfast and she just looked at me from the corner. I asked if she wanted to have breakfast with me but she said no."

May makes a sound over the phone and says "Mhm she'll need time Dallas. The girl was raped and beat by a man for we don't know how long. She's bound to be afraid Dallas.........." i know she is but i don't want her to be afraid of me. "I wan to come over today and check her out. I'm bringing some equipment and Allie."

"When are you coming?"

A knock sounds on my door and i frown going to answer it. May and Allie are standing there with smiles on their faces and equipment in their hands. "Let me get that for you." i say taking it away from them. "I wish you would have told me way earlier. She just got her breakfast and i don't know if she wants visitors."

May pushes past me. I shoot her a look and she waves her hand to brush it off. "She needs these tests done Dallas. They are crucial to her health. So let us do this now before she has something and we caught it to late."

Nodding my head i motion for the stairs telling them they can go up.

"Theirs signs of force more than once. Their are no problems and we can thank God with that. The only problems she are going to have are her emotional problems and those can be helped. When she starts getting comfortable we can get her to a good therapist and help her out." May says after hours of being upstairs.
