Chapter 21

Savd by To Chapter Twenty-one:

"Avlon baby." i whisper lightly in her ear. She groans rolling over and pulls the covers over her head. Chuckling i whisper again but louder "Angle. Time to wake up. May's here and she wants you to help her cook."

"Noooooooooo." she whines swatting at y hands as i try to remover her blankets.

I pick her up and start toward her room so she can change her clothes. "Come on Angle she needs your help."

Resting her head against my chest she mumbles that "She can cook by herself."

"No she needs your help and so do i. I would help her but i have to do some things so i wont have time. Will you do it for me?" i plead knowing that will break her.

Her eyes open slowly and she looks at me with a pout. "That's not fair." she states and i give her the puppy dog face. "Fine but tomorrow i get to eat coco puffs all day."

"Deal." i say setting her on her bedroom floor. "May will be in the kitchen and if you need me ill be at the stalls."

"Alright i love you." she smiles and i smile back at her kissing her forehead. "I love you more Angle."

"Have a good day Mr. Carter and thank you so much for training Shadow. Cathrine is going to be soo happy when we pull up.

"You are welcome Mrs. Branscum if you have any more horses we would be happy to train them." Mr. Branscum hands me the money and the they leave to their vehicle to leave.

"Are you staying?"

I look over at Walter and he nods. "Yes I talked to Zoe last night and she said that shes fine with it because Avlon makes me happy."

Giving him a nod i start toward the house with him close behind. "She'll be happy your coming."

Wayne and Houston's trucks are parked beside the house and Marc is pulling up the drive. Walter and i wait for Marc to get out of his truck. "Hey man. Evangaline." i greet giving them both hugs.

Giving me a quick hug Eva looks around and then back at me. "Is Avlon up yet?" Eva asks with a big smile.

Nodding i point toward the house and before i can say anything shes running off into the house. "She never stops talking about her." Marc chuckles following his wife into the house. We follow along wanting to know what hes talking about. "Since i told her you found someone and she met her she wants to do things with her. Talks about how sweet she is and how she wants them to go shopping and get their nails done." He sighs and shakes his head looking over at me. "You got you a keeper there."

I nodd with a smile. If Avlon got better with people im sure that she would love to go shopping and get her nails done. "Hopefully she doesnt freak out today." Walter states and i nod. "If not shopping is just around the corner."

Laughter sounds from the kitchen and when i walk in i see Avlon sitting on the counter with flower all over her face. She has a huge smile on and is pointing at May with loud laughter.

I laugh when i see the state of May. She has flower all over her body and some eggs and shells. "What happened to her?" I ask with a chuckle.

Avlon looks over at the sound of my voice and squeals with wide eyes. She jumps off of the counter and slips on something wet on the floor. Before she can go down she grabs onto the counter with round eyes. I chuckle at her and she looks over at me with a scowl. "Dallas." she whines.

Shaking my head amused i go over to her picking her off of the ground. Placing a kiss on her forehead i ask "What happened in here?"

"I got bored." she stated with a shrug.
