The night passed slowly, allowing Charles to rest well and regain the energy he had lost the day before. Pipher woke up well rested around 6am to meet with a classmate in the library to study for an upcoming exam. He threw on his uniform, his bag, and his shoes before leaving to go downstairs.

He went to the dining hall to pick up something to drink, a cup of hot cocoa, and a bottle of water for the day before going to the library. In the back of the library were hidden away tables where a young boy named Nick sat with a large textbook open on the table.

"Hi Nick," Pipher said as he saw him.

The boy peered up from the book and said, "Goodmorning!" in an enthusiastic voice.

Nick was very smart just like Pipher, making them good study buddies.

Pipher sat down across the table from the boy and opened his textbook. They studied for about 45 minutes before packing up their books and supplies and saying their goodbyes.

"I'll see you later in history!" Pipher said as the two parted ways to go to their first class.

Pipher ran up the staircase to meet Anna before she went to class but he just barely missed her. Right as Pipher got to where she normally stood with Charlotte, she was walking into her first class. It didn't bother him much because they see each other during Physical Education every morning anyway.

After his first class, Mastering Orbology, he went back to the library to find a new book to start reading this weekend. Maybe it would help inspire him to join the writing contest next week as well. Pipher browsed through the shelves and found a novel that stroked his interest, it was a mystery novel.

He spent the rest of the study hall time at a small table in the library reading through the first few chapters before it was time for PE.

Because it was Friday, all students had a choice over which game would be played in PE, and or they could go for a stroll in the town or do laps around the school. Pipher and Anna decided to take a stroll through town. Vin and Frankie decided to stay in the field and kick around a ball together.

Not only did Pipher and Anna not feel like playing, they also wanted to spend some time together to talk.

"Good Morning my lovely" Pipher said charmingly as the two walked.

"And Good Morning to you as well," Anna replied.

The two made small talk about classes as they walked past small shops and stores, peeping in through the decorated display windows.

"Do you think we'll have a spring dance early next year?" Anna asked, looking at a pretty pair of shoes displayed in a shop window.

"I really hope so," Pipher replied, "We would've had one last spring if all of the 6th years didn't trash the place with their prank."

The spring dance was the only place where anything more than friends was allowed, what a stupid rule that was. Kissing, hugging, and dancing were all allowed. Many of the older students would shag the night of the dance as well. That part was no different from every other day though.

They both kept walking, but with little to talk about.

After class was just about over, Anna, Pipher, and all the other students in their PE class returned back to the field to help clean up before going to their next class.

Anna and Pipher joined Vin and Frankie to have their daily group discussions before parting in the corridor by the great staircase.

The rest of Piphers school day was spent listening to his professors talk just about endlessly. When the school day concluded, he went back to his dormitory, laid on his bed spread out like a starfish and read the new book. He started to notice a few odd things as he read but decided to ignore them anyway.

The novel consisted of a group of teenagers on a quest and some of the things described sounded like it was placed in Maglins, but then again, it was too broad to be sure. The book was so interesting, Pipher began to lose himself while reading and dozed off. He woke up to a knock at the door.

Pipher sprung out of bed, and hid the book in the bottom of his bag before opening up the door. It was Frankie.

"Hey Frankie"

"I came to ask something," Frankie responded, "I need advice, badly,"

"Is it about Charlotte?" Pipher sighed.

"Yeah," He responded, "She's currently a bit mad at me because I cheated on her in a dream or something, I don't know. What should I do? How do I fix this?"

"Go into town, pick her up something to eat, some chocolates maybe? And just assure her it was just a dream. Don't leave her alone until she knows you wouldn't do something like that in real life," Pipher said.

Frankie leaned over toward Pipher and hugged him, "You're a lifesaver."

"While you're here I need some advice as well, you have to promise you won't say a word to anybody though. Oh and you need to promise not to nag me about who it's about either." Pipher said anxiously.

"I promise I won't, What's going on?" Frankie asked, sitting down in Pipher's desk chair.

"There's this girl I really like, and I know she likes me back. Tension has been growing between us and we've kissed but I just don't know how to go further with her. Everytime I see her, our eyes lock and it's like I crave more of her." Pipher said.

"Atta boy," Frankie replied, "Does she know how close you are with Anna? Is she not bothered by that?"

"No, no, she's fine with it," He replied anxiously, fidgeting with his fingers.

"I suggest you tell her exactly how you feel, and invite her to your room while Charles is away, like after school or something. Go in for a kiss, and see if she wants to go further. The rest should come naturally," Frankie said, "I've never made it that far but you'll be fine mate."

The two stood up and hugged again before Frankie left to go see Charlotte and Pipher went to the dining hall for some dinner.

As he ate alone at a small round table toward the side of the hall, he thought about the advice Frankie had given. "He's right," Pipher thought to himself, "I need to just go for it."

As Pipher was cleaning up his dinner and going back to his dormitory, Charlotte and Anna walked in to eat. He exchanged a wave with the girls before leaving them.

Something had shot through him, altering his ability to think straight, it was the look in Anna's eyes. He shook himself out of it and appeared as normal.

Back at his room he threw himself onto his bed, "Oh damn her," He said with a sigh.
