Pipher Green

Now that we are back at Maglins, and it's a weekday, we have classes. Charles was grumpy from the second I woke him up this morning.

"Go away," Charles said, swatting me away.

"You have English," I said, "In ten minutes,"

Once I said that, he rolled over and threw himself to his feet, "I'm up, I'm up,"

"Thank you," I said, "I set out some clothes because I didn't know when you would finally wake up,"

"I'm not a child Pipher,"

"You need me to remind you to wake up though," I said sarcastically, "Get dressed and be in the corridor in five,"

He gave me an aggressive thumbs up and I left to go stand in the corridor. I leaned against the wall and thought. Just then, from down the corridor, a dormitory door came swinging open and Anna and Charlotte stepped out.

Anna walked toward me and Charlotte walked the opposite direction.

"Still waiting for him?" She asked.

"Yep," I responded, "He just got up,"

"So," She started, "Excited to get back to classes?"

I laughed, "Am I ever?" I paused, "I'm not exactly excited, but also not dreading it,"

"Yeah me too," She said, "Tonight around 10pm, Professor Willison is hosting trivia in the Astronomy classroom. A lot of other people are going, you should come,"

"I'll be there," I said as Pipher emerged from our room at just around the five minute mark.

"Hey Anna," He said, "Long time no see,"

"Yeah I know," She laughed, "Now that you're doing day classes we'll see each other more,"

"I ought to get walking to english before Pipher yells at me," Charles said, rolling his eyes and laughing.

"I'll see you in PE," I said to Anna, as the three of us split up to walk to our first class of the day.

Each of my classes required low effort today as our teachers didn't want to bombard us with tons of work on our first day back. Though we didn't have a lot of work to do, I still learned a few things.

In Mastering Orbology, Professor Doyle went on a rant about daylight savings time. It didn't make much sense to me and seemed more confusing than anything. In English, I learned about a famous poem, it didn't make very much sense either, but it was very inspiring. In History, we talked about current issues and events in the world. Apparently on the other side of the world, a new species of bee was discovered.

I ended the day like usual except at 10pm I had to go to trivia.

There were many people there, filling up all the seats plus a few. Charles and Anna sat at a table together, leaving me to sit next to some random girl. Once I was done, I walked back to my dormitory with Charles and Anna.

I don't think anything is going on between Charles and Anna, but even if something is, I deserve it for going off with Lucy. I don't remember anything from that night, if we slept together, or if we didn't.

"Goodnight," Charles said, hugging Anna goodnight.

"Goodnight," I said, doing the same.

She walked inside her room, shutting the door behind her as Charles and I walked back to ours. It was quite late so instead of showering, we changed and put ourselves to bed.

"I'm never this tired at 11pm," Charles said, rolling over to face me.

"It's because you used to wake up at noon and stay awake all bloody night," I laughed. It wasn't exactly true, I was for the most part exaggerating the truth.

"You're a toad," He said, laughing.

"Oh shut up," I laughed back, "You better go to sleep soon so you dont wake up ten minutes before your first class tomorrow,"

"Yes mom," He joked, "Whatever you say mom,"

Though the room was very dark and I couldn't see his facial expression very well, I could tell he was rolling his eyes as he said it.
