Hey lovelies!

We've made it to Ch.30 and I'm so happy with how this book has gone so far. I'd like to thank the people who have supported me and my story! This chapter is a bit of a longer one so buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Without further ado, I present to you, Chapter 30

Francis Fitzlewis

As Pipher and I danced, ate, and talked with each other, he felt oddly not himself. I didnt know him well, only from Anatomy, but he still didn't seem himself.

He held his head down and his back wasn't as straight as I believed it to have been previously.

Throughout the night I did my best to make him feel comfortable and not awkward but my attempts did not have lasting effects.

Maybe if I knew him a bit better I would know how to make him more comfortable. But I don't.

I could see that he was trying to mask the odd feeling and that was about all he could do. I could also tell he didn't have much confidence about dancing so I had to teach him a bit.

"Pipher," I said, pulling on his arm, dragging him to the side, "Are you okay?"

It was around this moment he started to fall apart and his eyes started to pool.

He wiped his eye, pretending an eyelash was in it or something.

"I'm fine," He said, but I could tell he was pretending.

"What's wrong?" I asked, "What is this about?"

"Nothing," He lied, "Nothing that concerns you,"

He wiped his eyes once more before stepping closer to where we were dancing before, I pulled his arm back toward me.

"It obviously concerns me," I spoke harshly.

"You wouldn't understand," He began to raise his voice.

"Have it your way," I said.

Once I had realized I was very clearly in the wrong I apologized.

"Why can't you just tell me?" I asked.

"Why can't you just stop questioning me?" He yelled.

Everybody nearby stopped their dancing to look at us, I had embarrassed us both. I understand why he's upset, I'm being overly pushy.

I stepped back and apologized once more.

The damage was already done.

He stepped away and walked to the other side of the hall and I sat back down at our seats and enjoyed some sparkling water.

There I go, ruining everything.

Pipher Green

I don't understand why Francis had to be so overly pushy. It's one thing to make sure that I'm okay but it's another when you make me yell because you ask too many questions. I tried so hard to be nice to her.

She doesn't know me enough to treat me like that.

In frustration, I walked away from Francis with no true destination. All of my friends were probably too busy with each other, dancing and chatting so I walked to the only other friend I could trust.

Lucy Nova.

Lucy was standing along, dancing to the music a bit and once I walked closer she lifted her eyes to mine.

"Hey Pipher," She said, "What's up?"

"I just yelled at my date," I responded using air quotes, "I just don't wanna be with her right now,"
