It was Sunday evening, Pipher hadn't seen much of Anna since Thursday and Friday and he had been intensely reading his two new books. He spent his spare time reviewing his story for the writing contest and studying.

The story was due Tuesday morning, but Pipher didn't want to stress over it so he didn't wait until the last minute.

If Pipher wanted to make a move on Anna, he would need to do it this week or he would have to wait until after Christmas.

"Still worried about that girl?" Charles asked.

"Unfortunately," Pipher sighed.

"It's Christmas time, your favorite time of year and you're worrying about trying to get frisky with some girl?"

"Yes," Pipher admitted, "You make a good point.

They both laid down for bed, "Goodnight" Charles said.

"Goodnight," Pipher said, sounding defeated.
