Pipher Green
I received a letter from Catherine as well as one from Vin and Frankie. They all informed me about what happened at Maglins and that Charles is now at the ministry awaiting further punishment.
As much as I used to like Charles, I don't feel bad for him. First he killed Anna and then he locked Catherine in his room with him to comfort him. It all seems a bit odd to me.
Though what he did to Catherine was sad, it meant that hopefully I would be back going to school at Maglins again.
With my free time after classes, I wrote back to them all and at the bottom I added, "Hope to see you soon :)"
Hopefully I will.
My days at Wixtons are bare, not much to do other than work, study, and hang out with friends, which I have none. I tried making friends with my roommate but he wanted nothing to do with me and would just ignore everything I said.
Whenever he would snore at night, I had no choice but to just sit through it or sleep in the hallway. I don't want to be the weird new kid who sleeps in the corridor.
The only person who even bothered to talk to me was a girl from one of my classes. She was really kind and offered to help me study for an upcoming test. I had nothing else to do so I agreed and studied with her.
She was really kind and reminded me of Anna or Lucy by how caring she was.
I can't wait to be home for summer break and get away from the stress or school and get an escape from my problems.
I'll get to see my parents and hopefully some of my friends from school at some point.
I had thought about asking Charles if I could spend a few weeks during the summer with him but obviously that plan is long gone.
Even the chance of getting to spend summer break with Anna is out the window.
Catherine Everblade
The four of us went to lunch today and hung out like normal, we were still all mourning the loss of Anna but we also decided we can't just sit around sad so we decided to try and have fun.
Vin and I went to the pond today and skipped some rocks across the water's surface as we talked.
"Are you excited for summer break?" I asked.
"If I get to see you then yes,"
He never failed to put a smile on my face.
From how nicely he treated me to how he helped me in times of need, all of it contributed to how much I love him.
"I can't wait to marry you someday," He spoke joyfully.
"When's that gonna be?" I questioned.
"Sometime after we graduate," He answered.
"That's over two years away,"
"Doesn't mean I can't be excited or count down the days,"
I laughed.
How did I get so lucky?
Later that day, before dinner time, I went with Vin to his dormitory where we hung out more. I also managed to convince him to study with me.
It didn't take a lot of convincing, it's like he has a soft spot when it comes to me.
Regarding what happened with Charles, he was brought to the ministry where he's being held temporarily and his room was cleared out in search of anything else he stole.
They didn't find anything, which most likely meant the wand used to hurt Anna was the one I turned into the headmaster.
I think Pipher will get to come back next school year with us all now that trials can be held.
Around the school, after the word spread about what Charles did, posters began going up saying things like "Justice for Anna"
Though I wasn't her best friend or anything, it still hurt me that she was gone. She was a member of our friend group after all.
That night, I decided to sleep with Vin in his room as I didn't have the energy to walk to mine. I didn't tell him that was the reason because he probably would have offered to carry me or something. I only told him it was so I could spend more time with him, which was true.
"Vinny" I said, rolling over to make eye contact with him though it was painfully dark.
"Yes?" He spoke gently as he fixed my hair for me.
"It's warm in here,"
Without a second of hesitation, he slithered his way out of bed and turned on the fan before getting back in bed to cuddle me.
"Is that better?" He asked, putting his hands back in my hair.
I nodded my head and adjusted my body so my head was against his body and so our feet were touching.
I tried to tickle his feet and lower legs with my feet which didn't do much.
"Get to sleep," He said, "We have classes tomorrow,"
"You're no fun," I spoke sarcastically.
He put this hand over my mouth and said, "Shush, it's passed your bedtime, go to sleep,"
Unable to say anything, I moved my feet and began to try and tickle him once more, this time it worked. So much so that he wouldn't let me go to bed unless he had his legs holding my feet down.
The next morning was just like everyday. We woke up, got dressed, brushed our teeth, ate breakfast, and went to classes before it was time for lunch and then eventually we saw each other after classes.
This was what happiness was.
"Can you help me with the project for biology?" I begged Vin to which he agreed.
It somewhat felt like he had to say yes but I knew it was from the bottom of his heart.
