Hello my lovelies! I hope you're liking how I'm shaping the story currently and there's going to be more conflict coming soon so please stay tuned. Also pretty please don't hate me for anything that's going to happen.
Without further ado, here is chapter 33,
Pipher Green
"How are you planning to tell Charles?" I asked.
"I was in denial until now. I don't have a plan,"
I took her into my arms again as hers wrapped around me and her head met with my chest.
"Your heart's beating really fast," She giggled, tapping the beat on my back with her fingertips.
Once our hug concluded, we both walked out of the closet.
"Ladies first,"
That was something I had missed.
The joyful looks on our faces soon faded when we saw Charles walking through the halls looking for us.
He really is attached to her.
As he approached me, his fist met with my chest. The same chest in which Anna's head laid against just moments prior.
The punch wasn't hard. It was more of a shove really.
"That's all you got?" I said, egging him on.
He threw his fist into the same spot, hitting a bit harder than before.
I was very much occupied with watching Charles swing his tiny fists toward me and Anna had to yell to grab my attention. Charles did not stop throwing his fit.
"Why did you touch her?" He spoke, his voice full of anger toward me.
Anna motioned her finger toward Vin who was standing impatiently.
"I'd like that back," He said.
I took the wand from my pocket and tossed it over to Anna where she handed it to him.
"Are you done yet?" I asked Charles.
It took another minute or so before he finally stopped.
"You're out of breath?"
"I'm surprised I didn't knock you to the floor," He spoke sharply, trying to catch his breath.
All I could do in response was laugh at him.
He backed away from me and went toward Anna and placed a kiss on her cheek. As he did, he pushed some loose strands of hair away from her face, tucking them behind her ears.
Just like that, my heart sunk to the floor once again.
At least Anna told me how she really feels.
Now we just need to tell Charles.
***
I'd like to say that Charles took the news decently. But he was mad, furious even.
"Have you two been sleeping together this whole time?" He asked.
"Would you cut it out with the stupid questions," She spoke, "This is for the best that we just stay friends,"
That night I decided to spend the night elsewhere to avoid Charles lashing out on me.
I didn't have very many places to go so I stayed with Anna for the night, in Charlotte's bed.
"Where's she?" I questioned.
"Sleeping with Frankie tonight," She responded, "I can only imagine,"
"Charles is gonna kill me if he finds out I'm here with you,"
"His punches barely even touched you," She assured me, "He won't do anything, I'll protect you,"
Her voice sounded genuine with what she said and I gave a quick laugh.
We both laid on opposite sides of the room, with nothing but our heavy breathing and our movements filling the room.
I was in a deep sleep, and there was only a small portion of the night where I could remember tossing and turning. As morning came around, the air thickened a bit.
