Whenever the weather was rather raw over the city of water, Stiix appeared extremely foggy and murky, as if it wasn't cleaned up. In truth, it left the people somewhat down.
Natasha didn't realize how late she had woken up until she saw the numbers 11:32 on her clock. Normally, she would've been ready for the day about two and a half hours ago; even though said day consisted of simply eating, training, possibly helping Ronin manage his shop of stolen goods, and walking around town, she didn't like having wasted hours.
He must've been unoccupied if he didn't try to wake her. It's not like she minded too much; personally, after some events of the last year, she was still rather angry with him.
She kicked her feet off the edge of the bed and stood up. Her first stop was the small closet in a corner before heading to the bathroom with clothes in her hand. She first lightly knocked, and when hearing no response, stepped inside.
The blonde brushed her teeth, washed her face, and slid off her white nightgown, neatly folding it next to the sink. Bit by bit, she put on her new set of attire until there were just two pieces left; a tightly fitted sweater-like shirt tucked into a black miniskirt that reached no lower than her upper thighs. She flipped her hair back, much shorter in length than it used to be; it barely fell past her shoulders now.
As she returned to her room, Natasha passed by a small table with silver twin daggers and a sword on it to get to her boots.
However, that's when she heard the sound of muffled voices; aggressive voices, at that. It made her turn her head toward the door.
Four ninjas stood in front of the shop's counter with Ronin behind it. Each had different colors on parts of their black suits to match, such as half of the mask and ties; red, blue, white, and gray. They were all very angry.
"Nothing here is legit, including you!" the one in gray snapped; his name was Cole.
Clad in blue was Jay. "Yeah, I bet your airship's not far, either." He stupidly looked under the net that the thief had tried trapping them in, though wore a teasing grin. "What do you call it again? Rilo? Ruby?"
"Rex," Ronin corrected as he moved things on a large shelf. "And could you have a little fuckin' sympathy? Sold her so I could buy this place." A blatant lie. "As you can see, I'm trying to make an honest living."
The ninja with red, Kai, glared at him. "Honest enough to steal the Scroll of Airjitzu?"
"The Scroll of Who-watzu?"
Jay took a step toward him. "Airjitzu! It can make a Spinjitzu Master fly!"
"Yeah, so hand it over—" Cole grabbed a nearby abacus, seemingly ready to throw it in his direction. "—or we can make you fly!"
Before he could do anything with the object, a silver dagger flew fast past him and deeply penetrated the wall; it had gotten way too close to his face for comfort. The sudden attack made the four flinch and step back, Cole dropping the abacus. Ronin didn't seem the slightest bit concerned, and Jay let out a shriek.
Five heads turned to where the weapon came from. In the doorway stood Natasha, who stared at the ninjas with a hint of a glare in her eyes as she lowered her arm.
"Ah! My bodyguard's here," the thief joked, smiling smugly. "Just in time, too."
"Hmph." Cole icily peered down at her figure walking toward the counter, the sound of her high heels clacking on the floor. "I don't like shit being thrown at me, especially blades. The hell's your deal?"
