Jay watched in horror as Lloyd, the last of his remaining friends, was turned into indestructible gold by Nadakhan's hands.
"Lloyd!"
He whipped his head upward toward one of his new allies. "Come on Flintlocke, take the shot..."
As another purple ball destroyed his entire cover, Jay ran away in the open. The djinn's angry voice called out to him. "Now, give me back my sword!" Another destructive attack.
It was basically a game of the blue ninja running away as Nadakhan continued to throw these aggressive wishes in his direction. At one point, Jay hid behind the final pole and felt a sudden breeze. If he hadn't swerved to the right, he would've been hit; fortunately, just the sword was knocked out of his hand. He lost balance and fell on his stomach.
He heard the malicious cackling from Delara in Nya's body a few feet back. Floating right next to her was the evil king himself, who grinned. "Finally! I wish..."
But he didn't say anything yet. His first instinct was to hug the love of his life, who giggled in return. He lifted and twirled her around in the air. They were happy. Happy and completely oblivious as to what would happen next.
From above, Flintlocke held his gun and looked into the glass. He had been watching them for some time now, waiting for the perfect chance to shoot the pirate captain who had betrayed them all.
Now that Nadakhan was blinded by false victory, he was ready. For a hot minute, he would keep himself out in the open. "My shot is yours to keep."
With that, he pulled the trigger.
The sharp bullet flew down in a straight line at a rapid pace. Realistically, it only took about ten seconds to reach its target. However, no one expected Delara to take a few steps toward her lover to be just mere inches apart, where when the djinn was struck, she flinched.
It was never mentioned either that when the poison hit its target, it would become a god damn splash zone.
Nadakhan gasped as he held his stomach, nearly folding in half. He immediately knew what it was, because there was only one single thing that could ever injure a djinn.
"Tiger... Widow... Venom..."
The second he collapsed, the city in the skies began to crumble. He glanced up as some of the edifices tilted downward. "No!" The weakening effects were instant.
Nadakhan was only able to slowly turn around. As he was no longer powerful, the spell he casted had worn off and Nya returned. Confused as ever, she looked left and right at the disaster taking place.
He reached his hand out to her, hoping she would still be there. "Delara..." But it was far too late.
She took a few steps back. The sight made her open her mouth slightly to gasp. She was wondering if he had done something else for her to suddenly feel so sluggish.
And with that, the destruction of Ninjago City would begin.
As the djinn tried recovering his strength, the ninjas who were all previously frozen in gold returned back to normal. Kai was the first, and he quickly noticed everything.
"The poison, it's working!"
Cole was next. "His magic is failing. Now Jay, now!"
He was more than happy to do so. Mask down, wearing an eyepatch over one eye, and holding his side, the ninja in blue limped toward his enemy. "I wish..."
Nadakhan tried creating more magic in his hands to fight back. But with the heavy toll the venom was taking on his body, he could do nothing but lowly groan in pain.
