Inside the Bridge, Nya monitored the ninjas' movements. On a tiny screen read a timer: 03:59:24 and counting down.

"The Blind Man's Eye will be passing the peak in T-minus four hours," she told Wu.

"Good. Then if there isn't any trouble, they should be able to get there in time."

"Just out of curiosity, why is it they call it the Wailing Alps?" Ronin asked.

"Because when the unnaturally strong wind gusts blow through the canyons, it creates a wailing sound," Misako explained. "They say some gusts are strong enough to blow someone clear off the face of the mountain."

"Right... no trouble at all..."

"Esta montaña es muy peligrosa. Hay muchas avalanchas," Natasha added. "Una cosita puede provocarla."

"Yeah," he mumbled, "they're fucked."

The only thing the five could do was stay in the same room, keeping watch of the ninjas climbing the mountain.

Nya had her armor off. Until they reached the cyclone, she would pause training to keep an eye on the machines. This she found very fortunate.

Ronin yawned from the corner he stood in. He was so bored. How much time had passed?

Wu and Misako lightly discussed something by the keypad, looking up every now and then at the mountain. As usual, they were deep in their conversation and somehow never loud enough for anyone else to hear.

Natasha stared out the window. The peak was completely encased in snow, which didn't leave much view for the mechs. They were, very faintly, in sight, however; the four were starting to make progress.

Nya walked over. "I'm a little worried." Her finger tapped repeatedly on the surface.

"¿Por qué?" the blonde questioned.

She took a wild, wild guess on what that meant and continued. "Of course they can do it. It's just... this mountain is extremely dangerous."

"Sí. Bien peligroso."

"Uh, does mean yes?"

Natasha blinked. "Yes."

"God, I am so good at this." The ninja-in-training grinned, placing her hands on her hips. "Wait, aw. You sound so cute."

The blonde turned to her as if the compliment was offensive. "¿Cómo?"

It came out of nowhere, so no one expected it; the most ear piercing cry suddenly rang out through the sky. It wasn't too hard on those inside the Bridge, but it definitely made its presence known.

"Was that one of the mountain's wailing sounds?" Ronin questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"No." Misako was a little alarmed. "That was something else entirely."

The monitor keeping track of the ninja started beeping at an annoyingly fast pace. Nya whipped her head around in fear, running over as quick as she could. The dot representing them was flashing and falling down instead of up.

"No, no..." she gasped worriedly.

Natasha slightly squinted out the large window. The snow was rapidly tumbling down the mountain in extreme amounts, the source currently unknown.

"La avalancha..." she mumbled.

To them inside, in the air, it wasn't at all a threat. But to those on the ground, it could very well be fatal.
