It had been a calm-ish few weeks since the ninjas' arrest. Crime seemed to take a pause, too.

Natasha never really remembered to pass by the poorer area again. She wondered about both the three men that tried to take advantage of her and the woman who told her their story.

Then just a few days later, the news was driven insane. The ninjas had somehow broken out of Kryptarium.

"Would you look at that?" Ronin chuckled, staring at the TV in the tranquil restaurant. "They couldn't even last a day in there."

He wasn't exactly surprised, though.

She only blinked.

Skylor came over with two bowls of noodles, handing one to each. She smiled at the blonde. "Is this one of your friends that you can't keep?"

He twirled his noodles with the chopsticks given with another low laugh. "Nah, I can't get rid of her even if I tried. That's my cousin. We got into a little disagreement at the time, which is why she wasn't with me during New Year's... but we're all good now. Right, kid?"

Natasha sort of zoned out, chewing on her noodles and minding her business. At his call, she simply nodded very slowly and hesitantly.

The redhead let out a small giggle. "I forget that family can sometimes have zero resemblance." She held her hand out. "I'm Skylor."

The former looked down at her gloved hand for a second before back up at her kind face. She gently shook it.

"Natasha."

Before lunch could continue in peace, the ground rumbled. The three snapped their heads up.

"Alright, who's next on the villain roster?" Ronin joked.

The two women stared at him.

He shrugged. "What? Am I wrong?"

Natasha was the first out of her seat. She headed toward the door to see what was going on.

Her eyes widened a bit. She had to rub them to make sure her vision wasn't deceiving her.

Nope. There really was a giant, flying ship outside. But it looked nothing like the ninjas', and the residents of this one were shooting cannons.

She got a closer look at one of them. He was hanging off of a chain, releasing bullets in the form of little metal balls from his gun.

Ronin turned back to look at Skylor. "You gonna be okay?"

"I'll be fine," she responded with a confident smile. "This isn't the worst thing I've dealt with."

Reassured, the thief grinned and opened the door. He lightly pushed Natasha forward by the back. "Come on, we better get home. This shit is gonna escalate."

As she followed, the blonde glanced at her surroundings. The ninjas were in sight, back in action with their colored suits on. Nya was the only one who kept hers on from their last battle.

It seemed they were searching for something. They had no clue what.

The cousins rushed and dodged many falling debris. Fortunately, the ship wasn't exactly heading their way; and the ninja were giving them trouble.

Their home wasn't as close to the center of the city, so by the time they reached it the action was left behind. The houses surrounding were smaller, more suburban ones.

Ronin panted once shutting the door behind him. Hers were softer as she stood against the wall.

"Qué... ¿qué fue eso?" she asked.
