(JAKE'S POV)

Jake found himself smiling subconsciously as he watched Sunghoon hide under the blanket, trying his best not to scream as another jump scare came up on the TV screen. Yes, Jake had brought a horror movie... and for some reason, he already knew that Sunghoon would be scared... he also knew that he wanted to see what the younger boy looked like when he was scared.

"AGH!! WHAT THE FU- dge..."

"Nice save, Sunghoon." Jake chuckled as the younger's expression morphed into a frown.

Sunghoon turned to send him an icy glare, staring alarmingly straight into the older male's eyes.

"Sim Jaeyoon, you better shut up. It was you who brought over a fricking horror movie!"

Jake could only laugh even more, clutching his stomach as his shoulders shook uncontrollably. He couldn't even bring himself to apologize, for he knew Sunghoon didn't really care.

"You know what, I'm turning this off." Sunghoon grumbled as he fumbled for the remote, which had fallen onto the floor during one of his outbursts. (Lol I rhymed and I didnt even realize skksksksk)

"It's okay to curse around me, bro. I do it all the time." Jake said nonchalantly as Sunghoon got up from the bed after turning off the TV. The younger only looked at him and nodded before hurriedly making a run for the bathroom that was connected to his room.

Jake smiled hesitantly, confused at what was going through Sunghoon's mind at the moment. Was he mad at Jake for laughing? It wasn't that Jake had intended to be mean, he just thought Sunghoon's reaction to the movie was funny...he meant no harm.

(SUNGHOON'S POV)

Sunghoon leaned against the counter as the cold water ran down his face. He had splashed himself with water to get his mind out of the weird place it had been in before he'd gone into the bathroom.

Why was Jake so cute when he laughed? Why did his face look so absolutely adorable when he was interested in something? HOW THE HELL DID HE LOOK SO MUCH LIKE A GOLDEN RETRIEVER?!Sunghoon had so many conflicting thoughts running through his mind at the moment, and he didn't know why. All he really knew was that he was currently overwhelmed by the fact that he was thinking about his new friend as more than a friend already, when they had just met not even 10 hours prior. Also, he was 99.9% sure that Jake didn't swing that way, so he thought it would be best to try to dismiss these weird thoughts before they became... worse.

"SUNGHOON! I'M GONNA GO KIDNAP YOUR DOG!"

...what?

As he heard loud footsteps echo down the hallway, Sunghoon burst out of the bathroom and looked around, not finding the older Aussie boy anywhere. He walked out into the hallway and smiled nervously as he noticed all the lights had been turned off.

"Hey uh... Jake? This isn't very funny.. where are you?" Sunghoon asked, failing to hide the nervous quiver in his voice.

Nothing.

That made Sunghoon even more nervous as he continued slowly making his way down the hallway. He looked down into the living room, where he saw Gaeul (his dog) sitting innocently at the foot of the stairs.
