Lol im a bit late but stream Drunk Dazed peeps
(Sunghoon's POV)

* * * *

If you were to ask Sunghoon what the hell went through his head when he asked to be Jake's honorary first friend in his new school, he honestly wouldn't be able to tell you. He just thought... what if he loses his chance, y'know? He remembered something his mother told him during his early childhood years that went something like this: "If you hesitate to do something, it will add another regret to plague your heart as you get older."

That really made him think.... Jake seemed like a nice, cute, and loyal friend. Also....innocent. Something he didn't see so much in kids his age nowadays. He didn't want the friendly Australian boy to be tainted with the harsh standards and judging expectations of those around him.

"Well, if we're gonna be friends, shouldn't we hang out or something?" -Jake

As of right now, Sunghoon was currently standing in the shower with the water on the hottest level it could go up to.

He thought he was fine, honestly. After all, it was his idea to invite Jake over to his house to play video games. But here he was, stressing out over something that probably didn't matter....like he always did.

After a few minutes, he finally stepped out of the shower, wincing as the cold air hit his skin. He changed into the outfit he'd picked out- a dark grey sweater, black ripped jeans, and a pair of plain stud earrings because he'd just gotten his ears pierced- and left the bathroom to check his phone...also maybe to see if Jake had texted him. Yes, he'd gotten the boy's number, don't judge.

Jake
4:30 p.m.

Hey would it be ok if i brought a movie with me?
I cant tell u what kind tho..
😗

4:52 p.m.

Yeah, sorry for the late reply jake
But yea its fine.
I like anything really😊
Seen.

Sunghoon sighed after he typed up his reply and threw his phone down onto his bed. He brushed his hand through his wet hair in an attempt to calm himself down...to no prevail.

Eventually, the boy just decided to wait for his new friend to arrive by watching a drama on the couch in the living room... what a productive way to pass time.

20 minutes later...

"SUNGHOON! I'M HERE!!"
Sunghoon jolted up from his seat as he heard a loud voice coming from the front window. He glanced over and sure enough, a tall boy with a puppy-like face was peeking through the half-open window.

"Oh! I'm so sorry Jake! I didn't know you were here!" Sunghoon said as he hurriedly made his way to the door and opened it for his friend, who walked in soon after.

"Nah, it's fine. I noticed you were watching Haikyuu, were you?"

Sunghoon blushed a little out of embarrassment. He'd switched from watching his (mother's) favorite drama to watching anime after two minutes of sitting on the couch, and before he knew it, he was binge-watching the whole first season. He'd made it through five whole episodes before Jake arrived.

"Yeah, uh... I like anime." The ravenette said as Jake dropped his coat on the shelf by the door and slipped his shoes off.

"Oh cool! I do, too!" Jake said as Sunghoon led them both to his room- where he had gotten his console and games set up.

After a minute, both boys were seated on the edge of Sunghoon's bed and were currently deciding on which game they should play first.

"How about CoD? I used to play that all the time back home." Jake suggested as Sunghoon was shuffling through all of the games he owned.

"Ah okay, but just warning you, I'm not very good at it.."

"That's fine, I can teach you!"

And that's how Sunghoon got into the predicament he was currently in, with Jake currently laughing his head off after his character shot Sunghoon's for the sixth time.

"YAH! I told you I'm no good at this! Cut me some slack!"

Sunghoon wasn't really offended, though. He was genuinely happy for the first time in a while. He had finally mustered up enough courage to make a friend on his own instead of having the person come up to him first. And he could already see, if he wasn't being delusional, a blossoming friendship forming right before his eyes... and if he was being wholeheartedly honest, he was proud of himself.

"Sorry man, no can do."

Sunghoon groaned as his side of the screen flashed red with the words "GAME OVER" on full display. He watched, smiling, as Jake nearly rolled off the bed from laughing so much.

Secretly, the boy was so happy that he got to see Jake outside of school. Throughout the entire day, Jake had been quite timid around everyone else, only really opening up at lunchtime or when he and Sunghoon were alone. Sunghoon hadn't seen this side of Jake yet, the side he somehow already knew existed from the moment the boy walked through the doors to his homeroom class, but he already knew he was going to love getting to know Jake more... and even perhaps getting him out of his shell as time goes on.

Maybe, He thought as Jake got up to slide the movie he brought into the DVD player.

Maybe we can be a bit more than...friends.

Hjdjfjg bro this chapter was so short compared to the other ones, but I'm pretty proud of it, honestly. Also, I wrote the majority of this one at a wedding, so like.... that's probably why it's so short. Also it only took me two days to update, YAYYY!!
Anyway, have a wonderful day and please take care of yourself, eat well, and drink plenty of water! Bye~ 💜💜
