JAKE'S POV
It had been nearly a week since Jake stayed with Sunghoon that day. And if Jake was being honest with himself, he was quite confused as to what really happened back then. It was like one minute Sunghoon was fine, but suddenly, he was crying on the floor while struggling to breathe.
Jake had had so many questions at the time, but he'd just chosen to push them aside in order to be there for his friend. It was bizarre to him, though. In the short period of time that he'd known Sunghoon for, the younger boy had never even showed any sort of negative emotion around Jake. It was like Jake suddenly was hit with a realization. He remembered how Sunghoon was actually younger than him (not by a lot), and he remembered how Sunghoon had told him about his parents and how he felt pressured doing anything. Jake knew there must be more to the story, but now he could definitely see where Sunghoon's inner anxiety was coming from.
During the past few days, Jake hadn't really seen Sunghoon too often outside of classes. It had him a bit worried, considering what happened, but he knew Sunghoon was independent and could obviously take care of himself. So Jake just let the younger boy be. And in the mean time, he spent more time getting to know Sunghoon's friends, who could probably be called Jake's own friends now.
During the time of getting to know the boys, Jake realized some interesting things about them. For example, he learned that Yeonjun and Sunghoon weren't as close as the others were, but Yeonjun would spend time with them because of Heeseung, who he was much closer with because the two had known eachother since middle school. And Heeseung was great friends with Sunghoon, so they all got along just fine.
Jake also learned some things about Jongseong, or Jay, as Jake usually called him. He learned that Jay was actually born in America, and lived in Seattle, Washington while he was in elementary school. Then, he moved back to Korea with his family, and that's where they were now.
Jake also found out about the school's arts/damce team from Niki, who was a freshman along with Daniel. He realized that Niki was actually very funny and quite tall for his age. He was almost the same height as Heeseung, and that was saying something, since the oldest of them was like six feet tall.
Jake had also spent some time with EJ and Daniel together, and soon realized that the two were basically inseparable and EJ was actually quite nice.
He had even gone to Jay's dorm to hangout with him, EJ, Daniel, Nicholas, and a boy named Hanbin who Jake also learned was in his History too. In truth, Jake had had a lot of fun with them and he was feeling a lot more happy and comfortable at school with all of his new friends. So far, there hadn't even been one person who hadn't been friendly with him, and Jake hoped it stayed that way.

"Yah! I told you that was going to happen, idiot!" Jay shouted rather loudly at Niki, who just laughed in return and grabbed a napkin to wipe the soda from his brand new shirt. Everyone else was laughing hysterically at Jay's tone while the blonde haired boy just crossed his arms and fixed his glasses while a frown formed on his face.
"Have any of y'all seen Sunghoon today?"
Jake turned to EJ, who had been the one to bring it up, and shook his head. It was weird, but Sunghoon hadn't been in any of his classes yet that day. Jake had been concerned about it all the way up until lunchtime, then he had forgotten as he started talking with everyone.
Everyone else shook their heads as well, Niki and Daniel resuming their previous conversation as the rest of the boys sat there for a moment, silent.
