(SUNGHOON'S POV)
Sunghoon sighed as he slid down to the floor and desperately gulped from his water bottle. He'd just finished another dance practice with his coach, and to say the least, he was exhausted. But he wasn't just tired of today's practice, he was tired and angry with his parents, his entire skating career in general, and most of all, he was tired with himself.
Why was he angry with his parents? Well, his stupid rich ass parents only cared about him if he had a competition coming up, and even then they would constantly berate him and make him feel insecure. He was beginning to hate ice skating because of his parents, and that bothered him, because it really was his hobby.
He was also tired with himself because he was beginning to notice every little flaw within himself the more he practiced and the more his parents would lecture him. He was beginning to believe he was a bad son, a bad student, a bad friend, and even a bad person. He knew none of those things were really true, but sometimes he couldn't help but believe those lies.
Sunghoon had returned to school after that one day last week of him being absent, and it had made him much happier to see Jake again after the news his parents had given him prior.
*flashback*
"Park Sunghoon, get your butt downstairs or you're grounded!"
After a few minutes, the boy was skipping down the stairs and met up with his parents, who were both standing in the living room. Immediately, he froze because from the way they were standing, Sunghoon knew that he was either in trouble for doing something wrong, or they wanted him for something serious.
"You're mother and I are going away for a while. So, we don't expect you to live by yourself for the couple months we'll be gone... and we're going to send you to live in the school dormitory for that time being."
There was no "ifs, ands, or buts" about it, Sunghoon's parents were leaving for god knows why, and Sunghoon was going to move into the school dorms. He was slightly disappointed but he knew how his parents worked, and once they were doing something, there was no backing out.
But if he thought he was frustrated at his parents then, he was even more frustrated when they told him about his upcoming competition in Seoul. He was going to have to train up for that at school during the after school hours, and his parents had even made him a freaking diet plan because apparently he wasn't in good enough shape even though he was already forced to work out at least once every other day.
Sunghoon remembered how the eyes of his parents held little to no sympathy for him and he wondered if they were even going to miss him while they were apart.
He sincerely doubted it.

Sunghoon sighed as he got up and left the dance room, groaning internally as he felt a pain in his ankle.
Suddenly, the ravenette felt his phone ringing and he lifted the device to see the name of one of his favorite people flash across the screen.
"Sunghoon!" Jake's smiley voice filled the ears of the younger boy as soon as he clicked the answer button. This caused Sunghoon to smile at the energy that his friend was radiating through his voice.
