I entered the newspaper room and sat down.

"Hello young grasshopper" Jr. said

I laughed.

Then Elena burst in.

"SKETCH" she said

"Yes young grasshopper" I say mimicking Jr.

"Hey no. Don't steal it" he said

"Vice principle Ms. Tim wants you to interview. Matthew Espinosa for some football shit" she said

"Huh?" I said

"Yeah. So." She said reading the paper she had in her hand "ask questions of the team. Basically. He's one of the best players, sketch" she said

"You do it" I say

"Nah man. I don't know this shit" she says

"You" I say to junior

"Why won't you do it" jr. Asks

"Because I don't like him" I say

"It's just like an interview. Just ask questions and you'll be done. Geez. And I don't understand why you don't like him. He's cool" he says

I sigh

"Here's the paper. It says after school" she says

"But aren't I the one who arranges interviews" I say

She shrugs

I sigh again

I grab my stuff from my locker and head to the bleachers

He was already there

"Hi" I sigh

"Hello" he smiles

"Well this will be quick because I need to go home before my mom gets mad" I say

I start asking question that I had wrote down during lunch for him

"Well that's all the questions I had, Matthew. Thank you" I say standing up from the hard bleachers

"No problem. But-Sketch" he says pulling my arm back from leaving

"Yes" I say

"How about we go to that pizza place?" He asks with a smile

"Don't you have to go to practice?" I asked

"One day missing won't hurt. Anyway they already started a while ago" he says pointing to the field in front of us

"I'm sorry but my mom will get mad if I'm not home right now" I say

"Don't worry about your mom. Let's go" he says leading me down the bleachers

We get to the pizza place. Where Grace and I would go after every winning football game

Flashback xx

"We kicked some Eagles butt today" Grace said cheery when we got a table

The place was filled with kids from our school.

The football players came in and everyone cheered

"CONGRATS" I say to Matt as he walks up to us

"Thanks" he says

Grace squeals and jumps in his arms and kisses him

I look away at the picture next to me.
