"I don't know how we did it. But we did it" I tell Shawn while we're walking together holding hands

We were in the mountains having a picnic. He had the his guitar and I had the picnic basket. I lay out the quilt and we lay on it

"I know. But I'm glad your happy" he says with a smile

My parents. Somehow agreed to going to family counseling. My dad smiles now and talks to us. He doesn't hit us anymore. My mom stopped having her moods and moved back home and yes. My parents are in love. Ethan goes to the batting cages with my dad every Thursday night

"I feel infinite. Like I'm actually happy. Like I got a brick off my back, Shawn" I say and he smiles. I lay my head on his lap.

"And it's all thanks to you. You were there for me and supported me." I say "thank you" I finish

"I'd do anything for you, Gretchen" he says

I cringe my nose "don't call me that" I say

"Why? It's so fetch" he says quoting Mean Girls

"Shut up" I laugh and we end up laughing together

"I wrote you a song. It took me forever because I wanted to make sure it was perfect" he said taking out his guitar

"Aaawwww you're so cute" I say "what's it called" I ask

"A little too much" he says

"Huh?" I say

"That's the name 'a little too much" he giggles

"Oh. Ok. That makes sense" I laugh

He starts strumming his guitar

She would not show that she was afraid
But being and feeling alone was too much to face
Though everyone said that she was so strong
What they didn't know is that she could barely carry on

But she knew that she would be okay
So she didn't let it get in her way

And she would always tell herself she could do this
She would use no help, it would be just fine
But when it got hard, she would lose her focus

When Shawn finished singing the song I wiped my tears

"Oh my gosh are you crying. I didn't think it was that bad" Shawn said

"No no no. I loved it" I say giggling

He smiled

"I love you Shawn" I say

"I love you too" he said. He pulled me closer and we kissed passionately in front of a beautiful mountain view

AUTHORS NOTE: ITS NOT OVER. Okay. I still have about two or more chapters left. Trying to make it to 30 chapters.
