Melanie Barrett, not new to town and everyone knows this. Everyone has seen her walk down the halls of the school and everyone has seen her hang around the Duskers. Now what if her friends have a deep secret and she becomes a part of it?

Melanie walked into the school, her cheer outfit on, a jacket over her shoulders, and her sunglasses on. She was stuck with the duty of cheering to help people join the cheer squad. "Boom! Did a bomb just go off in my head? No, it's the devils when we beat you black and red. Call a nurse, call a doctor, call your mama too. Cause you're gonna need help when we're finished with you. Go Devils!" They cheer, Melanie finally taking notice of Erica and Sarah in front of their stand.
"It's okay, but I think it needs to be more like this." Stephanie says as she rolls her pom-poms then makes them smack a girl's book from her hands. Melanie scoffs and bends down to pick them up. She smiles at the girl as she rushes away. "You are too nice for your own good." Stephanie says causing Melanie to roll her eyes and continue to cheer. Erica signed up for cheer causing her to grin at her. Suddenly Sarah walks over and signs up. "Thanks for signing up Sarah." She says as she winks.
She stands off to the side and continues writing down stuff on the clipboard. "Cowabunga!" She hears Benny exclaim causing her to walk over. "Do not say anything." Sarah says causing Melanie to smile. "You look...peppy!" Benny says. "Look somebody needs to make sure Erica doesn't do any...sampling. And I'm one of the only people who can squeeze into this thing." Sarah says. "Plus, in case plan A fails, plan b is me." Melanie says causing Sarah to smile gratefully at her.
"Let's see what you've got girls." Stephanie says as she walks into the gym. "Oh, god bless cheerleaders." Benny says causing Sarah and Melanie to groan, Melanie smacking the back of Benny's head. Melanie walks in with Sarah, they start doing some stretches. Benny and Ethan walk in causing Stephanie to kick them out, Melanie admits...it looked kind of painful. They started doing their routine, cheering. Suddenly Ethan and Benny walked in...dressed as girls?
"Betty, Veronica...Care to join us?" Stephanie questions. "Oh, we care!" Benny says in a faux girl voice as they both giggle and walk over. Melanie turned to Sarah causing them both to shake their heads. "Now, form up girls." Stephanie says causing them to get into a circle. "I want to hear you shout!" Stephanie says causing them all to put their hands in the middle. "We're devil girls, and we'll knock you out." They all cheer, some of them laughing afterwards. "Okay, now hit the shower rookies. Some of you new recruits are rank." Stephanie says motioning the last part towards Benny and Ethan.
They all then walk towards the shower, but Sarah grasps her hand and they wait at the entrance of the women's locker room. "Oh excuse me. I was...I just wanted to fix my hair. The humidity makes it." Benny stops as Sarah speaks up. "Please stop, save the act for your idiot friends." Sarah says. "I can't believe-" Melanie starts. "No, listen, listen. You can't tell anyone. It's important. I just had a terrible vision." Ethan says. "Ditto! I'm gonna have to wash my eyes out with soap. Look, we can handle Erica. Just go practice your cheers and have a cold shower." Sarah says. "If you insist." Benny says as they go to walk deeper into the room. "At home!" Melanie exclaims shooing him away.
