Chapter 17

When morning came, Jisoo made again breakfast for the two of them. Jennie woke up earlier to since she wanted to cook for them but Jisoo beat her to it.

"Good morning Jennie." Jisoo said with a smile on her face and motioned for Jennie to have a seat and eat.

Jennie felt like a boulder was removed from her chest and replied.

"Good morning to you too Jisoo."

"I won't come to office today so I'll bring you to your college."

"Why? Aren't you busy? I mean I don't want to disturb you." Jennie's heart is flipping but she won't make herself obvious.

"No, I would love to see your university anyways."

"Thank you then." Jennie flashed her gummy smile.

When they arrived at their school, students' attention were on them – on Jisoo's car specifically. The car is new to their sight and it is a high-end product.

Jisoo felt that Jennie is uncomfortable so she went to the parking area.

"Okay, you're here now."

"Yeah, thank you. The parking area is difficult to find and there is signage. How come you found it?"

Jisoo looked at her and looked again outside. "Lucky guess I think."

"I see. I'd cook dinner later for us."

"Well, about that... I have dinner with Chaeyoung later. Do you just want to come with us?"

Jennie is starting to feel jealous with Chaeyoung but she must not be. She convinces herself that she has no right to be. Not wanting to ruin their dinner or "date" or whatever it is, she replied

"No... I'll just have a take-out I guess."

"Okay... I won't be able to walk you there since I wouldn't want them to recognise me."

"I understand. Thank you again."

After sending Jennie to school, Jisoo went home and called Chaeyoung.

"Chaengie!"

"Hey Jis!"

"You at home?"

"I am, why?"

"Well... uhm, I want you to do something but it's kinda out of work."

"Okay..." Chaeyoung answered, sounding unsure. "What is it?"

"Can you gather every information you can about Kim Jongin?"

After the call with Chaeyoung, a truck parked in front of her house and Jisoo let the two man in her house.

"Hey Jennie!" Kai said as she entered the classroom.

"Oh hey Kai!" Jennie answered.

Kai told her to occupy the sit beside him and he handed him a box of milk. "For you."

"Oh! Thanks."

"I could teach you again if you have some difficulties you know."

"Thank you for your offer. I'll just tell you if I don't understand the lesson."
