Only Yours (Jensoo)

Chapter 14

"Tell me Jisoo, are we okay?"

Jennie tried to sound unaffected but her eyes looked forlorn. Her knees feel like shaking but she keeps standing straight. Jisoo blinked at her.

"Yes, we're okay."

"Then why don't I feel like it?!" Jennie replied in a beat and covered her face with her hands as she started to cry. "Why do you ignore me?! Why are you not eating dinner with me anymore?! You can bring home whatever food you crave but no! You eat it outside and you leave early in the morning!"

Jennie cried harder that she had to shout to release the pent-up emotion in her. Jisoo felt guilty so she went near Jennie and hugged her gently.

"Stop crying now okay? I'm sorry, I thought you were uncomfortable with me. I don't want to scare you."

"I thought you hate me." Jennie said while crying on Jisoo's chest.

"I don't hate you. I won't hate you. Sorry." Jisoo pulled Jennie's hands to put it in her waist making them hug each other. Jennie had a whiff of Jisoo's perfume. Its scent calming her down and her breathing is becoming normal. She realized that she is in Jisoo's embrace and got flustered. She unconsciously held Jisoo tighter because she felt nervous. She never expected to be this close to her crush.

Jisoo felt Jennie hug her tighter so she thought that Jennie is still not recovering. She pulled back her head to see Jennie's face while they still are hugging.

"I'm sorry okay? Let me make it up to you."

Jennie pulled out from the hug and shyly nodded while looking down, still not making eye contact with Jisoo.

Jisoo held her chin to make Jennie look at her. Jennie tensed up at the eye contact and their proximity. Jisoo laughed and pinched Jennie's cheeks.

"Why are you so cute?" She said with a grin and walked to the kitchen.

"You're now eating with me. I thought you weren't hungry." Jennie said.

"Well, I'm hungry now hehe."

"Or you were avoiding me?" Jennie said cutely and frowned.

"Sorry sorry. I really thought I was scaring you."

"Chaeyoung told me you asked her to have dinner with you? Do you like her?"

"... Well, I wouldn't say yet that I like Chaeyoung but what I can say is that there's nothing in Chaeyoung to not like."

"I thought you asked her out on a date haha." Jennie's heart is clenching but she made it seem like it doesn't affect her or what. Jisoo changed the topic to avoid any further questions.

Their dinner is alive – full of chitchats and Jisoo and Jennie are both laughing at each other's stories.

"Hey let's watch a movie." Jisoo suggested after washing the dishes.

"Okay. Can I pick one here?"

"Yeah sure. I'm just gonna go get some chips."

After some time, Jennie chose Ready Player One since she have heard of it before but haven't watch it yet. Science fiction never bores her too, except for the part she hears the characters say technical terms. For Jisoo, she had watched the movie already but let it go since what she just wants is for Jennie is to enjoy watching and somehow get more comfortable with each other.

When Jisoo sat beside Jennie, leaving a small gap for their personal space, Jennie couldn't concentrate on the movie anymore. -

Jisoo is attentively watching the movie and Jennie is getting sleepy. She yawned and Jisoo looked at her. Jisoo put a sofa pillow on her lap and patted it, motioning for Jennie to lay her head there.

When Jennie is already lying down, Jisoo caressed Jennie's hair making her sleepier. Jisoo bent down and kissed Jennie on her cheeks. Jennie turned her face to look at Jisoo and saw a pair of caring eyes looking at her.

"I know this is too sudden," Jisoo said and started to stroke her cheeks lovingly. "But I'm in love with you Kim Jennie and I'm willing to prove it to you." After that, Jisoo kissed her on the forehead and reached out Jennie's hand to hold it rubbing her thumbs on the hand.

-Jisoo chuckled and said, "I don't see anything funny in the story. You sure must be a joyful person."

Jennie was brought back from her thoughts.

What the heck?! Did I just imagine me and my crush in a romantic scene? Jennie asked herself.

She removed the smile on her face looked at Jisoo. Their space from each other became wider, Jisoo had drifted away from their initial position. Jisoo is now leaning on the couch's handle and her legs are stretched on the long couch – different from what Jennie imagined in her mind.

"Nothing, I just remembered my childhood silliness because of a particular scene." Jennie said as an excuse

Jennie was glad that Jisoo just nodded and went back to watch the movie. Oh boy! She was given the chance but still hasn't watched the movie.

When the credits started to show, Jisoo stood up and started to fix the sala – removing the used bowls and glasses. Jennie wiped off the table and turned off the TV and waited for Jisoo to finish.

"Hey! I thought you're already upstairs."

"You watched movie with me, it's just right that I wait for you."

"Well, thanks. And by the way, get prepared tomorrow. We'll be leaving by 8 in the morning."

"..." Jennie just stared at Jisoo.

"I'm taking you out tomorrow, I want to make it up to you." Jisoo said and gave Jennie a warm smile. Jennie had the urge in her to hug Jisoo. She didn't even know where her courage came from. She is blushing at her own actions and got even redder when Jisoo hugged back.

"Thank you." She squeaked out when she pulled from the hug. Feeling embarrassed, she didn't wait for Jisoo to respond and hurriedly went upstairs.

Reaching her room, she immediately closed the door and shouted with no voice coming from her. All that happened this night was all like a dream for her – her crush hugging her to stop her crying, her crush holding her arms to put in her waist, dinner with comfortable atmosphere, watching a movie and even asking her to prepare since they'll be going out tomorrow.

She sure is one lucky woman.
