Jennie is frowning at what she is watching right now.

She read the comments of the people saying how good-looking Jisoo is in her gala attire. She also saw comments saying that Jisoo and Chaeyoung looks good together. She read the comments of people theorizing Jisoo and Chaeyoung's love life inside their office.

She's mad at herself right now for turning down Jisoo's request to be her date for the night. Now, she has to spend her new year's eve alone.

She thought before that she is just a simple college student who cannot give superficial smiles to the businesspersons who will be attending the party. Besides, she isn't comfortable with gowns and dresses.

If she went with Jisoo, would the people also pair her with Jisoo? Will they also say that she looks good?

She tries to console herself while watching. She must not miss a glimpse of Jisoo in the video.

Jisoo was tired from smiling at and greeting everyone. She has to keep her smile whole evening since there are cameras and they are going on live in the internet.

She suddenly remembered her date beside her and gave her a glance.

She saw Chaeyoung busy in her own world – munching the food on her plate, her cheeks puffing up as she push more food into her mouth.

Jisoo chuckled and Chaeyoung looked at her while a spoon is still inside her mouth. Jisoo pinched Chaeyoung's cheeks and laughed. Chaeyoung felt flustered and fixed herself.

When Chaeyoung has fully postured herself, she muttered a "What?"

Jisoo grinned widely and shook her head and pinched her cheeks again. For the second time in a few minutes, Chaeyoung felt flustered and hid her face in her arm, and flailed her one hand to Jisoo.

"You look like a chipmunk just now, are you aware?"

"No!! I'm not a chipmunk!!" She sounded whiny and the people sharing a table with them gave them a little laugh.

"You guys are cute." A woman in her mid-40s commented with a huge smile on her face.

"Thank you ma'am," Jisoo politely answered.

When the woman looked away, Chaeyoung never forgot to slap Jisoo's arms.

"What a childish boss!" She crossed her arms and playfully pouted.

"What a whiny workmate!" She crossed her arms as well and grimaced, feigning annoyance.

Chaeyoung pouted even more and continued eating. Jisoo, who has an amused look on her face, was just watching her eat.

Jennie was scrolling at her social media app when she came across a link. Seeing Jisoo in the thumbnail, she clicked it and it lead to an article.

"CEO OF KJS CORP. KIM JISOO, SPOTTED WITH HER DATE RUSHING TO LEAVE THE PLACE"

Now, it totally got her attention. She became more curious and proceeded to read the article.
