             Nearly 5 years later...

A boy, about seventeen, walked through Ceryn, the town, he was clearly a traveler.

He wore a dirty, faded, pale blue, long-sleeved tunic , and over it a dark blue sweater vest, matched with something similar to harem pants, a bandanna tied around his neck and a brown satchel, as well as slightly-lower-than-the-knee black leather boots and a pair of black gloves which reached halfway up his forearm, basically he wore the traditional boys outfit of Alantis.

On the boy's head, he wore a dark blue flat cap, which covered most of his blonde hair, which just peeked from around the edges.

His green eyes swept around the town Ceryn's square. He was clearly looking for something. His eyes stopped at the sign of an inn, 'the siren song' it read.

And he slowly made his way towards it. Entering it he was hit with a blast of noise, as people laughed, ate, drank, and talked, basically like a large party of boisterous people.

He kept his head lowered as he approached the counter.

"A room for a night" he asked.

"You got Money?"

the dark-haired, blue-eyed lady behind the counter said eyeing him suspiciously.

The boy pulled out ten crowns,(the currency of Alantis) and placed them in front of the lady.

She slapped her hand down on the currency and slowly dragged across the counter and into her pocket glaring as if daring him to ask for a refund.

"Name?"

She asked uninterestedly after the money was safe in her pockets

"Wynn Waywork" he answered impatiently.

The lady scrawled it down with messy hand writing, on the guests page, and passed him a key for a room, which had been hanging among three others.

"Second floor, 6th room" she told him.

He took the brass key in his hand and headed towards the stairs, before being interrupted,

"Hey! Shorty!" Said a man from right next to Wynn,

 "where's your mommy?!"

the man's  friends laughed at him, and Wynn's eyes narrowed.

His gloved hand suddenly shot up, and it closed around the man's collar, he yanked down, until he and the man were at the same level.

The man yelped in surprise as he found himself eye to eye, with the green eyed boy and his group of friends fell silent.

"What did you say?" Wynn growled threateningly, daring him to say something.

Wynn hated when someone commented about his height, which admittedly was shorter than average, but what had bothered him more was the mention of his mother, and it had been a long day, and he was very short-tempered at the moment.

The man gulped, to him the boy, though one third of his size was surprisingly sinister and scary up close, something told him he had messed with the wrong person.

"That's what I thought", Wynn said, after the man's continued silence.

Wynn let go of the man's collar, causing him to fall.

The man scrambled to his feet, as  Wynn made his way up the staircase, to his temporary room for the night.

He allowed himself to smirk for a moment. It was good to be back.
