Charlie's POV

My mind was in turmoil trying to find a way to answer the questions that swirled in my head, even if I do usually always have a lot of questions.

Ugh! I don't like not knowing things!

I drag Wynn, or Indie or Wynn or whatever her name is -is she a her? I think so..- to a private end of our treehouse, far away from the others so we're out of earshot, especially Ivy, sometimes I think she's a wolf with her sharp hearing.

We stop some distance from the others, out of sight, and definitely out of hearing range.

"So?!"  I ask, scowling, Wow, I think that's actually my first time doing that -It feels so weird-

"This is going to sound weird, but-" In began.

"When has it not been?" I asked interrupting her.

She glared at me.

"Like I was saying, remember when we parted? Well, the scroll thing you decoded, was an old prophecy"

"Prophecy?!" I gasped, interrupting her again.

Another glare.

"It's said to have been sent by the gods, the legend goes that the cause of the war is actually magical, and it can't end peacefully, without the curse being broken. And that's what the prophecy's for. And I've been trying to follow for the past three-ish years."

It took me a moment to process everything In just said, and more questions popped in my head, fighting the old questions to surface and be asked, but only one question came up.

"Wait! There's a way to end the war?"

I looked up at her hopefully, electric blue eyes meeting green ones, the war had been going on for as long as I remembered, I'd barely ever thought there was the possibility it my end.

She nodded.

"Hah! I knew there was something wrong with their excuse of 'starting a war' It didn't make sense! I mean, start a war over something so stupid as an unfit ruler! I mean we've had tons of those in the past! And no one did anything about them! An then suddenly Marva's king takes interest?! Conspiracies!-" I ranted.

"-Yeah, Okay, not exactly what I said, but something like that" In answered raising an eyebrow at my rant.

"-Right, An-- Wait why are you dressed like a boy?" I asked suddenly pausing.

"I don't want people to recognize me" She answered shortly offering no further explanation.

"Okay, so how can the war be ended?" I asked.

In sighed, as if wondering why she was telling me all these things to me, knowing her I was also surprised, since she was a very introverted person, and she seemed to have secrets who had secrets who had secrets ext.

"Okay, You know the crown Liliake Eklampse? Right?" She asked.

I nodded, thinking of the most ancient crown of Liaon. I quickly translated the meaning in my head: Solar Flare.

It was rumored to be magical.

"It's supposed to be magic, specifically the fire stone that decorates its front. And its supposedly the cause of the war, its supposed to have powers, and it's cursed for whoever sees it to desire it" She says, full seriousness installed in her features.

I nodded again, believing her.

"How are you supposed to umm, 'get rid' of it?" I asked.

"That's where the prophecy comes in, I think it's necessary to use the four other ancient crowns, that's why they're called the crown of five" In answered.

"Okay, that makes sense" I said, "Do you have any?"

In nodded, "I have one, it's the crown of Zallin, that's why those guards where after me" She explained.

"Xiloma Paliria, Rip tide" I breathed, I was internally fangirling, so many ancient relics!

Calming down, I thought for a moment, everything she'd just said seemed to fit.

"So i'm guessing your next target is the crown Gui Seikier, or earth shaker?" I asked.

"Yes" She sighed.

"So when are we going?" I asked her, excitement bubbling within me.

"Whoa there! We're not going anywhere anytime soon, you're staying here, and I'm leaving" She said narrowing her eyes at me, not that it deterred me from wanting to come.

I crossed my arms stubbornly, "This war isn't just affecting you! I want to help" I say, knowing that she knew, that I was more persistent than even her, and I wouldn't drop it.

"Maybe" She said shortly, annoyed, since this obviously wouldn't turn in her favor.

"I guess I could use the help" She added, after a moment of contemplation.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I squealed bouncing up and down.

"I should tell the others!" I said, but In stopped me.

"Do you trust them?" She asked looking into my eyes to see if I did.

I nodded, "With the world"

She scowled, "You could've just said 'with my life' "

"Yeah, but that's unoriginal" I answered.

She sighed, "You can tell them everything I told you, except for the things about me, like that I'm a girl" She told me, lowering her voice about the last part.

''As far as they're concerned, I'm Wynn Waywork'' She continued, not letting go of my wrist until I nodded in agreement.

''Guys! Wynn found a way to stop the war!'' I yelled, when we went back to the group.

I could feel Em face-palm next to me at my introduction.
