I finished unpacking my last cardboard box full of clothes into my small closet and plopped onto the wooden floor, wiping sweat off my brow. It was a sunny, warm August day and I was getting my new apartment dorm ready for the upcoming school year. I crawled over to the transfer student packet that was thrown on the floor and read the front page.

"WALDEN UNIVERSITY

TRANSFER STUDENT

INFORMATION PACKET"

I sighed and mindlessly flipped through the pages. My third year of college and I was starting fresh at a whole new school, knowing absolutely no one.

But, it was fine...

This school was one of the best known schools for dance majors. I was lucky enough to get an audition, let alone get in — there was no way I could've refused this amazing opportunity.

I finally got myself up off the floor and grabbed my car keys to go grab some fast food for dinner — college things, you know?

Pulling the GPS up on my phone and typing up fast food near me, I decided to settle on a classic: McDonald's. My stomach grumbled with anticipation of eating some golden nuggets and crispy, salty fries.

The drive was about ten minutes and I parked in a spot next to a super fancy black Mercedes Benz.

"Holy shit," I breathed. If this was the type of wealthy people I would be surrounding myself, I definitely needed to prepare.

With a shake of my head, I walked into the establishment and was immediately greeted with the inviting scents of frying oil, sweaty kid feet, and the blaring machine beeping sounds. I smiled, feeling at home.

"Excuse me, are you in line?" I asked someone who was standing slightly in line, but slightly off. He turned around and my breath caught in my throat.

He was absolutely gorgeous.

He ran a tattooed hand through his black, slightly shaggy hair and stepped aside.

He had tattoos, too?!

"Oh no. I'm waiting for someone, you go ahead." He gave me a super toothy smile and I couldn't help but smile back as I stepped ahead in the line and faced forward.

Suddenly, I heard a second voice from behind me.

"Hey, Kook, I'm back from the restroom. Did you order yet?"

Kook?

"No, I was waiting for you. I didn't know what to get."

"But... you know my order," the new voice said with clear disappointment.

"I guess I forgot... Sorry, Tae..."

I grinned to myself at their interaction when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I jumped and whipped around.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you," the person I now knew was named "Kook" said with his hands surrendered in the air. "I just wanted to let you know your shoe is untied."

My eyes widened and I looked down. Sure enough, my left sneaker was undone. "Oh shit, thank you!"

I bent down to tie my shoe when I finally noticed Kook's friend, who I figured was "Tae." Like Kook, Tae was drop dead gorgeous with sharp features and I had to force myself to stop staring.

The first two people I meet and they're literally some of the most beautiful people I had ever seen...

I made the mistake of looking up into Tae's eyes and I froze. He seemed to be scrutinizing and sizing me up and I squirmed under his intense gaze. Feeling uncomfortable, I broke eye contact first, tied my shoe quickly, stood back up, and faced forward, not daring to glance backwards.
