Namjoon and I arrived and stood across from Jungkook, Hoseok, and Yoongi. I gave Yoongi a small smile and, thankfully, he responded with a slight head nod.
"Hey ladies, we're going simple and making Korean fried chicken tonight," Jungkook grinned with a bounce in his step.
"I'm not a lady," RM corrected from besides me.
"I am," Suga said with ease and I quirked a quick lip. "I also happen to be starving so let's get moving."
Jungkook turned to me. "You're joining us right, Y/N?"
I stood there, unsure. I still felt a little weird about what happened between me and Namjoon and was worried that Suga was upset, but I was also super hungry and Korean fried chicken sounded like the move...
"Don't bail on us! Our KFC is delicious, I promise!" J-hope insisted, grabbing my arm, as he noticed my uncertainty.
"Plus, Jin-hyung is gonna get here soon to help," Jungkook smiled with closed eyes. "And that man is a master chef."
"Well, so am I," RM crossed his arms.
"You can't even cut a carrot," Suga retorted and RM just glared.
"Can't cut carrots?" Jin asked, stepping foot into the kitchen. "Are we talking about my little Joonie?"
"Hey!" RM threw his hands up in the air. "Okay, fine! I'm not the best with knives, but I can still help," he pouted.
"We would love your help," Jin said in a baby voice, making his way over to Namjoon to pinch his cheeks.
"What can I do?" I asked eagerly, making up my mind to eat dinner with them and not let the awkward encounters ruin my friendships with everyone.
"Yayyy! She's staying with us!" J-hope smiled happily.
Jin washed his hands and began to tie an apron that had "MR. GOOD LOOKIN' IS COOKIN'" in big, bold, white letters plastered at the front. He tossed me an apron that was hanging on a rack and pointed in my direction.
"Good to see you, Y/N. Put that on. You'll be on sauce duty," he ordered.
I looked at the apron and giggled. On it read, "COOKING MAMA" in bright pink writing with the video game character underneath.
"Sauce duty, got it," I shot Jin a thumbs up. "I've actually never made KFC sauce before, though... should I just look a random recipe up online?"
Jin froze as if I offended him. "You've never cooked Korean fried chicken before?!"
Shrinking into myself, I shrugged and slightly shook my head.
"Oh dear," Jin dramatically said placing a disappointed hand on his forehead. "Alright, well you can still be on sauce duty. But none of that online recipe none sense. Yoongi-ah, you'll be on sauce duty with Y/N. Help her out, please."
My heart skipped a beat upon hearing that I would be partnered up with Yoongi.
"Sounds good, hyung," Suga agreed.
Jin smiled and tossed Suga an apron, to which the auburn-haired boy whined.
Jin released a windshield wiping laugh and Jungkook also let his high pitched cackle ring as he slapped Jin's back repeatedly upon seeing the apron.
"What's wrong, Suga?" Jin laughed with a wide mouth.
"I'm not wearing this," Suga grumbled.
He held the apron up and I had to hold back a bout of laughter. Jin had given Suga an apron that read "SORRY BAE, CAN'T COME OVER! IT'S GRILLIN' TIME!"
