*Y/N POV*

Tonight was the night.

The "date" with Kim Namjoon.

The intellectual heartthrob of Walden University whom I shockingly wasn't interested in.

I cracked my knuckles in anticipation of the night. It would be an understatement to say nervousness coursed through my veins, but I couldn't let that show. I had to put on a friendly act and let him down sweetly. Easy peasy.

I put on Yoongi's song "Moonlight" once I sat in front of my vanity after finishing my homework, and applied my makeup. Listening to this song nonstop had me memorizing and familiarizing myself with each part of the track and choreography was easily coming to mind. I quickly wrote down some possible dance moves with corresponding time stamps, pressed replay, and continued with getting ready. I had already chosen my outfit for the night: black off the shoulder top paired with a black skirt that had small, white flowers dotted all over and sheer, black tights underneath. My vision was to go for something cute and casual.

I applied some lip gloss and instantly was brought back to when Yoongi almost kissed me. Immediately after, I reached up and gently touched the area on my neck his lips once were and felt a warm wave ripple throughout my body.

I'm really sorry, Namjoon...

Once I finished getting ready, I hopped into my car and drove to the guys' place to pick Namjoon up, seeing as he wasn't able to drive.
On the drive there, my nerves began to build and I worried if I would have the guts to be able to turn him down. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt his feelings, but I also didn't want to hurt Yoongi's or mine by not speaking up.

I lightly scoffed at myself for thinking Yoongi and I were already a thing.

Jumping ahead of the gun, no? Take one thing at a time.

Knocking on their front door, I took three deep breaths and shook away my jitters.

"I got this," I repeated to myself over and over.

Jungkook opened the door and instantly my anxiousness subsided.

"Banana boat!" He cheered. I missed hearing that lame nickname.

"Hi, Kookie!" I grinned back and gave him a tight squeeze. In another life, maybe...just maybe... I stopped myself from thinking those silly thoughts.

"We should honestly just get you a spare key," he joked with a contagious laugh.

"I mean, at this point, might as well," I giggled.

He led me inside and shut the door behind him. My fellow dance colleague was lounging around in his baggy black pajamas with his tattoo on full display. I felt like VIP getting to see them like this and not all made up for school or outings. I honestly preferred them in this state—relaxed and at ease. No judging eyes to perform for. They could just be themselves around each other, and around me.

"What are you doing here looking so cute?" Jungkook winked.

I couldn't help but blush at his words. "I'm seeing a movie with Joon," I answered unsure of how he would react.

"Namjoon-hyung?" Jungkook gaped.

"Yeah," I forced a casual chuckle out. "Spider-Man: No Way Home. Have you seen it?"

Jungkook whined. "Noooo! Lucky! I'm waiting for Mari, she said she would watch it with me."

My ears perked up. "Mari wants to watch it with you?"

He nodded. "Yeah, so I'm just waiting for her go signal."

"Interesting..." I trailed off in thought.

Was I completely off about her? Was she actually into Jungkook like I previously thought and not Yoongi?
