Jungkook, Yoongi, Mari, Hobi, and I arrived at the restaurant first and we decided to wait outside for everyone first. Slowly, the rest of the group, minus Jimin, began to trickle in and we finally headed inside, voting Hobi to be the one to speak to the hostess.
"I'm sorry, we're very busy at the moment and space only allows us to split the tables into six and four or five and five," the frantic hostess said apologetically.
"Oh, so we can't sit all ten of us together?" Hoseok frowned with one side of his mouth dipping downward.
The hostess gave us a sympathetic gaze. "Unfortunately not, I'm sorry. We can only split up the tables right now."
"Okay, I understand."
Hoseok stepped aside to let the next party move ahead of us. He looked at all of our faces with raised brows and explained the situation.
"Hm, okay. What are we thinking, guys?" Namjoon asked us. "Should we still eat here? Or find a place that can accommodate all of us at one table?"
Hobi pouted with his bottom lip protruding. "I really want to eat here... I don't really mind being split up."
"Me neither," Taehyung chimed in.
"I'm just hungry," Jungkook sighed.
"I..." Jin paused and looked at who had just spoken, quietly counting off his fingers, "fourth that!" He said proudly with his eyes closed.
Mari and I raised hands in agreement while Yoongi simply nodded. Namjoon's face slightly fell, clearly not expecting us to settle for splitting tables.
"Okay..." Namjoon pursed his lips in defeat. "I'll let the hostess know, then."
"Thank you, Joon!" I grinned and he half-heartedly smiled back.
Once Namjoon returned from the hostess, Jungkook clasped his hands and looked around expectantly. "So, who's sitting at what table?"
Namjoon's eyes instantly found mine, but Yoongi slightly took a step forward towards Jungkook, ultimately blocking Namjoon from my view so I wasn't able to see what he wanted to say.
"I'm okay with anywhere, Kook," Yoongi replied coolly.
"Sounds good," Jungkook responded.
I definitely didn't mind wherever I sat, but a large part of me secretly wanted to sit wherever Yoongi was going to.
"I don't care where I sit," Tae yawned.
Mari grabbed my arm. "I'm sitting with Y/N!"
I giggled and held onto her hand. "Definitely sitting with Miss Mari."
Namjoon's face brightened as he craned his neck around Yoongi's back to look at me again. "I call sitting with—"
Just then, the bell at the top of the doorway jingled, indicating the entrance had just opened. We turned our heads and our eyes zeroed in on Park Jimin and his new mystery girl. I squeezed Mari's hand in excitement in meeting who this new girl was.
Looking around, the other boys also were eager and holding their breaths, awaiting the introduction.
I, suddenly, noticed Yoongi step towards me and bend his head down to reach my ear. "Jimin never introduces us to girls. Ever. So, this is a milestone."
I shivered from the low, breathy tone he was using and I clenched my toes inside my shoes to control myself.
Not the time.
I slightly tip-toed so he wouldn't have to bend so low. "Really? Why not?"
He shoved his hands in his jean pockets and gave a small shrug. "He's not the type to keep a girl around for very long. At least, not long enough for him to deem it worthy to introduce us."
