"Uhh... do you want water? Or... something to drink?"

I awkwardly shook my head with a polite smile as I stiffly sat in Suga's garage's armchair with my legs crossed. Twiddling with my thumbs, I wondered how I got myself into such an uncomfortable situation. Suga seemed just as much, if not more, awkward than I.

"Okay, cool, cool," he pressed his lips into a thin line.

"Yup..." I popped the "p" sound.

I slumped into the seat and blew a small stream of air towards my fallen baby hairs. It had been about five excruciating minutes of this back and forth game.

He began to anxiously bounce his knee up and down and I decided it was time to start.

I slowly stood up. "Hey Yoongi, is it okay if we dance now?"

"What?" He looked up, startled.

"Can we dance now?"

He raised a stiff brow up at me. "Are you asking me for permission to dance?"

I chuckled slightly. "Well, you are the teacher here and this is your house."

He visibly relaxed at my lame attempt at something funny. "You're right. Permission granted."

I settled into a smile. "Aye aye, captain, full steam ahead."

He scrunched his face up. "Okay, too much. You've been spending too much time with Jin."

With that, he hooked his phone up to his large Bluetooth speaker and we quickly ran through the first section of the dance as review to warm up.

"So, like this?"

Suga tilted his head. "Hmm, not quite. More like this."

We had been at this for about half an hour already and I had been making decent progress. He came up in front of me to execute the small sequence that he just taught me and then slightly turned his head to look back at me.

"The feet should end up like this. Not this. And you're a little late on the footwork leading up to that pose."

I nodded and retried to dance it the way he wanted.

He shook his head. "Still too slow."

I exhaled a slow breath and attempted it once more.

"Nope."

Again.

"Too slow."

Once more.

"Snails are faster than you at this point," he yawned.

I pouted in growing frustration and embarrassment. "I don't know what I'm doing wrong."

He cracked an amused smile at my irritation. "Watch my feet closely. I'll play the song in half time."

I eyed his feet carefully with a cross of my arms. This sequence was definitely the most difficult part of the routine and I was getting more and more upset at myself for not grasping the moves quicker. I was used to picking things up quickly, so I was flustered at my lacking... especially in front of Suga.

"Got it, Y/N?" He asked me, shoving his hands in his sweatshirt pocket.

"Okay, I think so. Can you keep it in half time, please?"

"Of course," he head nodded and pressed play on the music.

I closed my eyes and tried to imagine Suga's feet in my mind and transfer those movements onto my own as I moved. Finishing with what I believed to be the correct feet placement, I opened one of my eyes with expressions of worry and hope mixed into one.
