Percy hurriedly straightened out his bed. He slid the clothes on the floor under his bunk and pulled the sheets down to cover the gap. He rearranged some of rare blue flowers Tyson had brought back from Poseidon's underwater palace and quickly fixed up the fountain.

The minotaur's horn was still hanging beside his bed and the little wind chime twinkled in the wind.

Percy was just straightening up the framed photo the Stolls had secretly taken of that moment in the dining pavilion just a couple days ago, when the door to his cabin opened and in came Annabeth Chase herself, insertion scroll in hand.

She smirked at Percy as he whipped around to face her with a big innocent smile. "Hey Wise Girl!"

"Where did you hide your clothes?" Annabeth asked, crossing her arms and looking at him expectantly.

"I didn't hide them!" Percy protested, trying keep himself stable on his feet. The sight of Annabeth's pure beauty was making him wobble a bit. She was only wearing her usual shirt and shorts but Percy had a hard time talking while looking at those amazing grey eyes.

"Oh yeah?" Annabeth asked. "So you wouldn't mind if I looked under your bed?"

"Er, nope." Percy said with as much confidence as he could muster.

Annabeth smiled at him slyly and walked over, lifted the sheets and drew out a pile clothes from under there with her scroll.

She raised an eyebrow at him skeptically and stood up. "Three out of five." She said with a big smirk, pencil in hand.

"What!?" Percy exclaimed. "Come on! For this? I did a good job! Look at the photo on the bedside table!"

Annabeth peered over at it and blushed but still put down a three. Percy walked over, snatched the pencil from her and tried to rub it out but Annabeth only laughed and pushed him away. She made to walk away from the cabin but that was when Percy got one of his desperate ideas.

He plucked out the dripping wet flowers from the vase and tapped Annabeth on the back.

When she turned around, she received a full blast of the famous baby seal eyes. He held the flowers to his chest with both of his hands, a pleading look in his big sea green eyes.

Annabeth was hesitating. He could tell. She finally sighed in defeat.

"Two out of five." She whispered to him.

Percy looked so happy that she had to resist the urge to burst out laughing. Then a confused look crossed his face and he brought out his hands, counting for a second on his fingers and if to make sure.

He looked up at Annabeth's growing smile and his mouth dropped open. "Annabeth!"

She laughed. What she did next, she had no control over it. She kissed him.

The blue flowers dropped to the floor and Percy fell right onto her shoulder.

"Seaweed brain." Annabeth muttered with a laugh as she tried to lift him back up to his feet. "Now you have to clean this up properly."

Percy slumped right back onto her with his back to him. She struggled to keep him up. "Can't." He muttered painfully. "My bones melted into water a few seconds ago when you..."

"You are the cheesiest person ever." Annabeth said. "Percy, seriously. Get up."

He only slid down lower. "Just-" he stammered as if a dagger had skewered him righ through the middle. "Five- five out of five."

"Four out of five then." Annabeth grumbled.

Percy gasped like another dagger had sunk through him. "Goodbye Annabeth." He whispered. He put his hand over her own and gripped it tightly. "I've- I've always loved you Wise Girl."

She knew it was a joke but she couldn't help the blush that rose to her cheeks.

Then Percy collapsed onto the floor, brining her down to her knees too.

"I'm going to pour water over you." Annabeth threatened.

No answer. He was lying there as still as ever.

"Seaweed Brain. That four is going to go down to a one in a second and that's going to earn you kitchen duty." She tried again.

"Oh gods." She said in a final attempt. "He's really gone. I guess I'll have to say yes to that hot Apollo guy outside the window."

Percy spluttered and sat up. "What!?" He looked out the window hurriedly at the poor blonde haired nine year old who had been unlucky enough to walk past at that moment. "Hey!" He shouted at him dangerously. "What do you-" Annabeth pulled him back and the nine year old decided it was time to bolt.

"Percy." She said. "I was joking."

He looked at her relieved and wrapped her in a warm hug. "Good." He muttered. "Cause you're all mine now."

She kissed his cheek for his adorableness and tried to pull away from his grasp but his grip was way too tight. "Percy..." She said. "Uh..."

She felt him smile behind her and she scowled. "Perseus Jackson, I swear to all the gods-"

They were interrupted by a ear blowing squeal and the sound of a camera snapping away at them. They turned around hurriedly to the door but there was no one there. Then Percy, looking aghast, turned to the fountain at the iris massage that had just formed there. Two words.

Sally Jackson.

I'll leave it to you to guess what happened.
