"I want to explore Paris with a beautiful girl."
* * *Percy took Annabeth's hand and dragged her outside the restaurant.
The most beautiful sight greeted them out of the doors in a welcoming gesture. The night was sparkling with lights from modern looking buildings. Vehicles were driving past and the river Seine (correct me if I'm wrong) flowed down in the near distance.
The glittering Eiffel Tower, lit up with hundreds of lights, stood not too far off. It was imposed in a position that declared self importance above all others, as though it knew that it's beauty could never be rivalled by the city below.
Percy watched as Annabeth stared on in wonder, enjoying this very rare moment of speechlessness from her.
She looked beautiful in her green dress. A string of pearls rested against her throat and her blonde hair whipped at her face in the wind. Her face was morphed into that of marvel and shock.
"It's- gods of olympus Percy, it's beautiful."
"Not as much as you." Percy commented. Maybe the fact that they were in the city of love was influencing his choice of words somehow.
In the light of the barely visible moon and the glittering buildings, Percy thought he saw her blush. "Shut up Seaweed Brain."
Her eyes drifted up to the outline of the Eiffel Tower. She opened her mouth to say something but Percy interrupted.
He smirked at her knowingly and took her hand. "We have until midnight." He reminded her. "That's hours from now."
"Fine." Annabeth said, giving in. "Where do you want-"
Her eyes suddenly caught something and Percy, following their gaze saw what it was.
As expected, it was a bookstore. A hardcover titled 'Architecture en France' was displayed in the glass window.
Annabeth dragged him towards it. Percy groaned as they entered it. "Annabeth, we're in Paris and you want to go into a book shop? It's worse than a library! At least the books in those are for free and-"
Annabeth shoved his shoulder and picked up the book. She walked towards the lady at the counter who smiled and shot at her in rapid French. When she finally realised that Annabeth wasn't French, she switched to a highly accented English.
Percy rolled his eyes and just happened to look outside the window. There was another shop just opposite this. A jewellery shop.
He looked back at Annabeth and decided that she probably wouldn't miss him if he disappeared for a few minutes. He quietly slipped back out the door and entered through the ones in the other store.
A tingling bell rang off somewhere in the distance but the front desk was empty.
The whole shop glowed in a faint pink aura, illuminating the bracelets and the many necklesses.
One bracelet in particular brought Percy further into the little building. It was a thin bracelet. A strip of silver and a separate strip of midnight blue had been twisted together very tightly. It had small lettering on one side reading, Je t'aime.
Percy didn't realise there was someone else behind and he nearly jumped right out of his skin when he turned around.
Standing there was a tall woman, lit by a pink glow. She had long curly blonde hair that reached her waist and her eyes were so much like Annabeth's Percy nearly thought it was her. But she looked different somehow. Familiar.
