The little black haired beauty ran across the forum, chasing after the seagulls. Her grey eyes were sparkling with determination. Just as she neared the bird, it flew away. She jumped up but alas fell onto the hard ground.
Her eyes started to well with tears as she gazed down at her skinned knee.
Her mother quickly made her way to her side and picked her up, carrying her over to one of the many fountains on the street.
She had blonde hair unlike her daughter but their eyes couldn't have been any more similar. Both a stormy grey. Pretty, but intimidating too.
She sat her daughter down on the edge of the fountain and cupped some water onto her palms, letting it trickle down slowly onto her knee. As if by magic, the wound began to close up. The little girl stared at it in awe and started to giggle.
She crawled her way onto her mother's lap who in turn wrapped her in her arms safely.
Not a moment later, a young man made his way out of the café nearby and walked towards the little girl and her mother.
He planted a kiss on his adoring wife's cheek.
The little girl laughed merrily and stretched out her tiny little fingers towards her father. He smiled at took her from the willing mother and kissed her forehead softly.
Watching the family from not too far away was a teanage girl. She had spiky blavj hair up to her shoulder and electric blue eyes. A bow hung limply in her hand and on her back was a quiver full of arrows. A silver circlet adorned her forehead.
She stood there smiling, remembering when the young parents had been twelve years old.
"You drool in your sleep..."
Two matching strips of grey hair feom holding up a burden not meant for them.
A kiss for luck.
A blue cupcake that looked like brick.
The bubble under the canoe lake.
Their last words before falling into an eternally dark abyss.
"As long as we're together."
They had gone through so much. They had found the bolt, they had sailed the sea of monsters, they'd held up the sky together, they had made their way out of the labyrinth, they had been there to help with the Second Titan War.
They had gone through Tartarus.
It was only fitting that they got their happy ever after.
And watching them now, Thalia Grace knew that they had finally got what they deserved.
She watched the little girl and the mother and father. They were all laughing and looked truely happy. But that wasn't all.
They looked complete.
