Chapter 13:

(Harry's POV)

I watched her, she sat there as he came back with his burger. I knew she was safe here, away from me, maybe that's what that text meant. To stay away from both means that they could be safe.

"Hey dude, you've still not talked to her" he said with a mouth full of a chicken legend

"look ...um, I'm going away for a while" i stuttered as he swallowed

"What?" he said sounding shocked

"Look i don't have a lot of time ... i just need you to promise me you'll watch over Ellie" i said still stuttering, trying to get all my thoughts out

"What? you were just-" he said trying to work it out himself in his head but i didn't have the time for that.

"-Liam,  it's not fair on her and I'm being too selfish. If i come back and its real, its was real. I just need her to be happy and if that means without me ... then ... yeah let the path follow through" i said

"Harry this makes no sense" he said after taking another bite of his burger.

"Just look after her okay?" i said putting my hand on his shoulder for reassurance.

"Okay" he said doing the same but when i looked at his hand like it was a bomb, he quickly took it off and headed over to a seat near Ellie's. She was on her phone as i watched. I nodded in his direction and he went over. I ran home then packed a bag. This trip was so spontaneous that i never thought about where i would go but i knew i just needed space from them. My phone buzzed and when i checked the message thinking it would have been from Ellie, it was from the same unknown number;

'You can take four steps but i'll always be two behind you,you may have given me back my power but it doesn't give you the right to run,I told you debts need to be paid and i need your help-s'I knew It was Simon straight away so i text the unknown number back:

'Tell me when and where?'

I knew straight away that what i would send would have consequences but i had the time now. My phone buzzed straight after

'What about your girl? Afraid she might run'I text straight away knowing that he had hit a nerve:

'We leave her out of this, do you want the help or not?'A text came straight through 10 seconds later:

'The hill, 5 minutes and she's out of it. Is this a deal?'

'Deal'I sent the text after i read it and ran with my suitcase and put it in the house in the woods and went to the hill. I managed to be thereon time and i saw a figure of the hill playing with a knife

"Harold, right on time" he said stabbing the tree and offering a handshake which i took

"It's Harry now" i said correcting him.

"Harry, Welcome aboard Project seventeen" he said

"Whats project seventeen?" i asked as a phone buzzed. He took his IPhone 6+ out and checked.

"Not my phone" He said. I took it out of my jacket and looked at the message quickly:

'You could at least say goodbye to everyone, including Ellie' That text from Liam did have a point. But i didn't have much time to think it over because Simon asked who it was

"It's Liam" i said putting my phone back in pocket.

"Liam! It would be nice to catch up with the boys at one point" he said putting on his suit jacket

"Why don't we do that tonight? get project seven started- " i said trying to convince him to go back but he interrupted me

"Seventeen" he said correcting me

"Seventeen then started tomorrow" i said, He looked at his watch and huffed.

"It's too late now to start" he said walking down the hill. I followed shortly after him keeping my distance.  He stopped at the bottom of the hill.

"Lead the way" he said, i nodded and ran vampire speed to the apartment. I turned around when i got to the door and he was there.

"Don't wait on my behalf" he said as i opened the door. When i walked in, i guided Simon into the front room and all the boys were there watching something and all drinking.

"Boys!" he said as he walked in. They all sat up and surprised to see him. I was the only one to have any issue with Simon so i did feel uncomfortable around him. I nodded at Liam

"Harry, a word?" he said pulling me out the room not before greeting Simon.

"Good to see you" he said taping Simon's shoulder before pulling me out the room and into the kitchen.

"Don't you dare make me do that again, ever do you here me?" he said sounding pissed.

"Why? what happened?" i asked not seeing the problem.

"Why? are you freakin' kidding me? she's pissed, I'm pissed, I'm sure the boys will be pissed when they find out too, I can't believe you made me do that" he said grabbing a blood bag from the fridge.

"I've got to go, simon's got job for me to do now" i explained the new situation.

"Seriously? are you out of your mind? Simon's projects never go to plan and when they do, someone ends up dead." he said, i guess I'm not getting any support from him then

"Liam, i need to go" i said grabbing a blood bag from the fridge and opening it

 "You need to talk to Ellie before you leave, what you made me do was uncool and it wasn't fair on her" he said making a very valid point as i was drinking. I'm afraid if i see her though, i wont be able to leave and that won't help either of us. I'm too confused at the moment and allot has been happening recently, i just need to get away.

"Okay, tell Simon i'll be back in an hour" i said putting the bag in the bin and running to Ellie's house.
