Dark nights, long roads,
Glowing green boards,
Welcomes with a sinister smile.
Cars race fast,
Trees fly past,
As the distance inches close.
Tears brim my lids,
Heart thumps in my ribs,
Aching and yearning for you.
Depressing, the thought of not seeing,
Stressing, the ache of meeting,
Awaiting, full of hope.
I wish I could see
I wish I could feel
The beauty of your eyes and lips.
